Wait,
You said it is a Mobil One Filter? If so that is definitely not the problem. The Mobil One filters actually flow better than either Fram or Motorcraft does.

If you have a normal oil pump as opposed to a high volume pump then the numbers you are quoting are well, normal. If you have a high volume pump, then they would be low.

But you know that.

I hate the say this but I would guess that you have something in the pick-up screen in the pan. If you were heavy on the cam lube it may be the culprit. I have seen (personally) that if the Lubriplate is too heavy on the in build that it will get in and in some cases (mine) restrict the oil from being picked up through the pick-up screen.

I hope that isn't the case, it is a pain to take it all apart again to clean out. I had to do it and the pressure went back to normal.

I have been told that just driving the car will help to break down the cam lube but it did not work for me, because it was not circulating in the system. It had just stopped on the pick-up screen and in the pick-up tube. If it gets in none-circulating places it will harden and never dissolve.

I hate to say it for the same reasons Steve said, but the first thought I had was the pickup was clogged.

Darn, we need a sweating icon. It is hot here again and supposed to be 111 by tomorrow. Boy, did that big rate increase come at a bad time for everyone. I am fortunate that I can still pay my bills but this 60% increase with another to follow shortly is going to put a lot of people here that are retired over the edge as they simply can't pay their bills and it is not the stupid ones that just went out and bought stuff they couldn't afford to pay for in the first place.

OK, I got a phone call from HP.

To begin with the lady that called had not even read the transcript of the conversation with the first two clowns that I had communication with. That told right then and there they NO intention of beginning to care about what the outcome was. (who's surprised?)

She did say she was sorry though, however she did not really know what she was apologizing for. So I took it as, her job is to just call and say she's sorry. (Boy that will do some good)

Anyway, all she said was she would refer me to someone else to see if they could help me with my needs. Mind you she did not know what my needs were, she was just calling to refer me to someone else. Does passing the buck sound familiar?

To make a long story short she had no idea why I was pissed off, she did not know what I needed, she did not pretend to know ANYTHING about laptops or XP, she was only calling to say she was sorry and to refer me to someone else.

So, as it stands, my office is full of HP equipment, I have been a loyal buyer of HP for the last OH, twenty years or so. But NO more. If they can't even take the time to find out what the problem is before calling then why should I bother to take the time to use their products.

I can no longer recommend HP as a reliable product or company.

Big deal, I am sure they still don't care, and are laughing their perspective butt$ off. They are just saying someone else will buy from them. They don't care, why should I?

In short DON'T BUY HP PRODUCTS

Steve,

H.P. isn't the only company whose Customer service has gone away. Nearly any of them you call will give you a run around with people who know nothing more than a few words. Now, since I shake so much that I am almost afraid to try getting into the close parts of my computers, I would hire a local repair guy that I know to make any changes for me as I would be shaking and sure as heck slip and bend a bunch of pins of something worse. Buying good cards and building the computer like you want it is the best way if you have steady hands and some patience. Look at the one that Joe built and it would have cost probably 3 times that on the market if he could have found one that had all he wanted. Some brands used to let you specify what you wanted so far as cards and etc, but that seems to have gone by the wayside along with any after market service.

You might have seen the Subaru commercial where this guy never washes his and people are writing "Wash me" on it. He lets the rain knock the bigger chunks of dirt off.

Well,Subaru dealers will wash & vacuum out your Subaru for free as long as it can make it there under it's own power.

I had it washed yesterday !!! The last time was Nov. 21,2008.

Fred,

Not bad. Especially if they will do it for free. Will the Harley Dealer do the same for your bike?

Yep,free wash there too. Some Saturdays they have really trim & built girls in bikinis doing them.

Every Saturday they have a cook out.Free water or beer and hotdogs & hamburgers.

They mark their hands, non drinker here, with a pen and limit the beer to 3 - 6 ounce cans.

So you go to sit and leer and blame age for the fact you forgot to take the bike along.

I don't forget my scooter or sit.

I'm up close to be sure there is enough soap suds on the girls.

There is just something about soaps suds sliding off of young firm boobs that makes for a great day.

Fred,

At 3 AM here which is our coolest time of the day it was 80° and has been climbing slowly ever since then. Once the sun starts to show up it will really shoot up in a hurry.

Have fun on the ride.

For some strange reason we have had a couple of cool nights here, it has been really nice for a change.
