Yes, those bottom tusks are like five inches long.

I should have taken a picture of the wall so you all could see the other mounts.

Fred, I think it turned out better than I thought it would.

Those tusks under the skull are the real deal.

Excellant Job ! I had been wondering what route you were going to take on it.

Did you just leave it outside to let nature deal with the hide and tissue ?

Yeah, those tusks would open you up like a butcher knife !

Fred, yeah I took it out of the freezer when it was apparent I was not going to have someone doit for me ( the wife and I had college payments ).

So Erich caged it and we let it stink up the area for three weeks until I could pull the bone from the hide.

Then we washed it and dried it. Scrapped it and then put it through a soap bath. Finally we did the peroxide thingy until it was white.

I had the wood done up based on the other designs I had for the elk & white tails.

That's about it.

Joe, I'll try to get a shot of the wall. We have mounts in rooms, but this is the main room.

It looks like we are not hunting Rosevelt Elk as we planned, so I am looking for a hunt.

Glad you guys liked the mount. I wasn't sue about it until I had the wood and bone all white and ready.

Well there is still Washingto D.C. that you haven't done.

Looks good Ron. I like it. Did they at least do the work for free to use the car in the ad?

Joe,

Not free but I did get a cut in price. They do excellent work. The first real body and paint shop we have had here for years and they just came from I believe he said the Bay Area about 7 months ago. I know the new phone book had their ad in it and I hadn't seen it before so I decided to try them.

Gee Ron, what could possibly be wrong with that car?

Wait, I know. You were going to give it to that nut case in Michigan as a gift and you forgot.

I hope it wasn't major.

We get rain almost every day...since I got the cobra on the road. Where the heck is that Mt Shasta Goddess??

Tru,

Just some small dings that the parking lot wars have caused over the years. And nearly all on the right hand side. Probably because I always park in the end slot with no space for anyone to park next to the drivers side.

Cool at least they offered you something for it.

Tru,
Just send the Cobra down here. We have perfect driving weather. I will be sure to post a daily update on the drives so you can enjoy it too.

Tru,

I bet that Joe would even wash your Cobra for you if you would lend it to him for the summer. Your Summer driving days are going to start getting short before much longer.

You all are just loving this. Rubbing it in.

Some time soon, it has to stop and dry enough to allow me some driving time.

Thanks Joe, that was thoughtful of you to offer to drive it in dry weather as I have none.

So, it took me four hours to install the dishwasher last night. Two of those were spent trying to figure out why it was 'cockeyed' between the cabinets...the bloody thing is bent. I haven't figured out what to do yet, but I am going to do something.

It runs and is clean, so I am happy with it overall.

Not only would I wash it, but I would post high resolution pictures of it freshly washed and waxed.

For a nominal fee of course.
