As for the golf cart.
Apparently the difference is the "deep cycle" rating on the batteries. The Trojans are rated a little different than the ones at Auto Zone.
The ones at Auto Zone have:
Cold cranking amps: 575
Cranking amps: 715
Reserve capacity: 160
The Trojans have:
The T105 is rated at 225 A/H and will deep cycle 300 - 500 times.
Dimensions inches (mm) (same as above battery)
L W H
10 3/8
(264) 7 1/8
(181) 10 11/16
(272)
Capacity Minutes Cranking
Performance 5 Hr
Rate AH 20 Hr
Rate AH Voltage Terminal
@25
Amps @56
Amps @75
Amps CCA @0°F CA
@32°F
447 - 115 - - 185 225 6 LPT, HPT, AP
Can anyone explain the difference to me in the two? And if the ones at Auto Zone will work?

Show was a good time. I rode out there with another member in his Cobra. Nice to meet you in person finally Steve. I took some pictures too, but haven't taken them off the camera yet. I came home and started in cleaning up. We are having a lot of people over next weekend for our anniversary celebration and there was a lot to do to get ready.

Joe,
I am glad that you got to go to the show and meet Steve. Also congratulations on the upcoming anniversary. When you have time how about posting a couple of the pictures.
What brand of Cobra did your friend have that you rode to the show with?

Fred,
I have to go to the dentist tomorrow for what is just supposed to be my 6 month teeth cleaning. I called and asked what it cost and then divided that by the number of teeth I have and told her that I could only afford to have 6 of them cleaned, as they always seem to find a filling that needs to be replaced. At least they are ready now for the screaming and yelling.

Ron,
As a personal favor to you I'll happily pull, buff and return to you those 6 teeth for HALF (1/2) the price they gave you.
As an added bonus I'll turn on my overhead, ceiling mounted, monitor and play one of my favorite video/songs to help take your mind of the mind numbing pain I'll provide at no additional expense to me.

Very good Fred.Your offers almost make going to my dentist seem pleasant. I just hate to pay so much for pain. But with the laws out here, they have to charge a lot just to cover the cost of their instruments. And besides the young woman that cleans my teeth has great boobs and always leans right over my face with them.

It is raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock right now. Thunder and lighting sound like it is in the attic.
Feels nice though.
Come on rain, keep filling up the lakes so we can share some downstream.
Anyone know the differences in the battery specs I posted?

No, NO, NO. Something like we used to have when all we had was sticks and rocks. Where do you think drums came from?

I really do not know the difference in these and do not know if they will even work. I would hate to buy 6 -6 volt batteries that will not work. That would suck!

Steve,
They will work as long as you connect them correctly. It is kind of like your flashlight batteries. It may have came with one brand, but any brand will work.
By the way, here is our heat report.

Funny comment at the bottom of the page:
(on Ron's Link)
ReddingLocal writes:
Clearly a case of man-made global warming. Since winter, the weather has been getting warmer and warmer. The thermometer I keep over by our BBQ has shown that it is unusually warmer than the past 4 seasons combined!!
Hmm, if it is hotter than the past four seasons combined, That would make it about 400* or so out there. Maybe she should move the thermometer away from the grill and cool off a little. At least she noticed it has been getting warmer and warmer since winter. DUH!
Dang Ron, you have some strange folks out there.
None the less,
That is damn hot Ron, be sure and stay inside. I see it is 78* at 8:15 there this AM. Looks like your in for a long hot week.
We are supposed to get rain the next five days.
Come on rain!

Steve,
That is in Redding. Out here we are always 3 to 8 degrees hotter in the Summer and about the same colder in the Winter. I think it has to do with us being right up against the ring of mountains and Redding has about 15 miles of space before the mountains. It is supposed to be 111 here today, but I think it is probably going to pass that.
As for the strange people, this is California. After all, we gave you Pelosi, Fienstien, and Boxer. That woman and her statement means she is most likely a transplant from Southern California.

Next Monday is our 14th anniversary. I think I have effectively proven everyone wrong when they said we wouldn't last 6 months.

Steve, the reason those specs seem so much different is the Trojans are giving you Cranking amps like you would normally see in a car battery and the others are giving you Amp Hours. Cranking amps gives you the amount of juice you get at an instant (turning starter is more important on a car). Amp Hours gives you the time the battery will last at a specific load. (More important that initial start up power on battery powered carts). Both are a measure of the batteries power, but I would be more concerned with comparing the Amp Hours between the two.

Hey, Thought for today.
I heard that BO wants to start putting his name on everything like Donald Trump does. He wants his face on Mt. Rushmore. He wants everyone to never forget what he has done (what?) for our Country. (again what?)
Anyway, he wants his name on everything. So, now that he has taken over GM, he wants his name on the buildings. Now everyone has heard the slang, "Government Motors". BO is not happy with that as it gives the perception that the government has done something good and not himself.
So, he is changing the name to Barack Obama Motors.
Think about the Acronym.
BOM
What does that tell ya?
