The entire color thing with the trees only took five days.
In five days the trees went from mostly green to all yellow. Granted there are some hold outs, but in general, they all are yellow and dropping.
Fall is upon us!

We had a fast Fall and the wind has blown most of the leaves off the trees. Not much color around here close as the fires have burned everything. Lots of muddy water in the rivers and lakes though.

The southern Red Oaks I planted last year are still mostly green, but the one in the front yard has a few leaves turning red.

Our drive is almost completely covered.
Now we need three days of sun and dryness so we can blow all the leaves into the wood.

Maybe the snow will cover them first and then you won't have to blow them off the drive. I see they have changed our weather forecast to rain tomorrow. Yesterday it showed sunny and a few clouds.

Hey, I know we haven't posted here for a while but I just wanted to let everyone know we (Jenny actually did all the work) had a baby boy Jacob. He came a little early (35 weeks) but he is breathing well and is pretty healthy. He needs to be able to digest better and he can get out of the NICU.
5lbs 14oz and 18.75 inches long for those that were wondering.
Seems like things here are pretty much the same.

Brent,
Congratulations and I hope the little guy is home and playing with his sister soon. It is good to hear that you are doing well. Take care and keep in touch once in a while.

Tru,
That will come as soon as he is walking. Brent had better hide it for a while.

I think our Fall/Winter is about here. It was just 40° here this morning but the 5 day forecast shows it getting back into the upper 70s next week. It also showed rain for tomorrow and Saturday but that has been changed to clear with wind.

Brent! Pictures!
Ron, don't feel bad. It has been cool here for weeks.
I am waiting on Fred's first trip report. I wonder how much rain will spill his way.

Tru,
Depends on where he goes. I talked to my cousin in Arkansas yesterday and they are having a lot of rain. He said it had rained almost every day for the past two weeks but was supposed to clear off next week. Now our forecast has changed from cold and rainy to into the 70s and warmer.

Flip,
Our weather here is really nice now. I know that my cousin in Arkansas told me that it has rained there almost every day for the past two weeks but next week is supposed to be nice. Enjoy the time you spend in Texas.

Thanks Ron - I'll give it my best shot! I am in the habit of watching the 10
day forecast calendar for my area so I'll be watching that. Nothing I can do
about the weather but at least I can be emotionally prepared.

I hope that your forecast is more accurate than ours is. They change ours at least twice a day and still can't ever get it correct.

Wow, another month already and I received my property tax bill yesterday. Guess the county is so broke they want the money as quickly as they can get it. I may just forward it on to Washington and ask them to take care it. It would only take a minute to print enough money to pay it.
