What do you do for a living?
I currently work for ITT systems as a TCF Tech but will most likely be looking for a new job at the end of my contract. I separated from the Air Force as a tech controller in May and accepted the contract with ITT to come to Iraq for a year. I can easily sign another contract to stay here but I've only been here about a month and a half and I'm ready to pull all my hair out from boredom! If this doesn't remind me of every prison movie I've ever seen.... i don't know what would! I'm not complaining about the job though. it's not like I didn't know what I was getting myself into! On the bright side, it does give me the better part of a year to plan my cobra!
Anyways, back to the job, I've had offers from companies like Dell as a network tech, and have done the car salesman thing(toyota) in the past. i just wanted to get an idea what some of you guys do for a living. Or if you are retired, what did you do! haha

I peal stickers off the produce at a grocer because someone always puts them on the wrong produce.

Hey... I am responsible for polishing the apples, tomatoes and occasionally the grapes.
My job would be a whole lot less stressful if people would stop marking them with indelible pens and putting stickers on them.
You have no idea the pressure...

After checking all those veggies, I retired about 5 years ago at the ripe old age of 54 years young. Therefore, what I do for a living is pray that the Dow Jones Average increases for the day, and I take rides in my Cobra.
In my prior life, I was in marketing deptartment for an instrument company (Foxboro). Over 30 years lying to people and having them appreciate the lie and buy the crap we were selling. Hahahahahahah.
Veggie stickers is a lot easier job. Nobody buys a banana because they think its a mis-shaped green pepper.
My side job is posting 100% serious threads on Club Cobra. Beam me up Scottie ... time for my pills!

You don't have to rip the stickers off banannas unless, that is, you eat the peels.

I really have to point out, the tomato stickers are never on the tomatos correctly and the peppers are always wrong as well. It is the blasted guy with the black sharpie that mixes the black ink with the spit that really makes the job a challenge.

And to think ... people are worried about the cleanliness of restaurant workers...
Sure makes my real-time job - which many may call the "dark-side" aka Medicare --not seem so bad ....
