The debate is OVER
The Gore-acle of D-AL-phi has spoken. The scientific debate is OVER. Those who refuse to accept the scientific data are the equivalent of Holocaust deniers.
From The Alaska Report comes concrete evidence that a number of gray whales were happily spending the winter in the Arctic icepack three years ago rather than joining in the 5000 mile migration to their purported winter feeding grounds adjacent to the Mexican coastline. The reasons given for this were “climate warming, changes in prey and foraging habits, and less sea ice.”
http://alaskareport.com/news/do77833_gray_whales.htm
Now, a new study printed in the San Diego Union Tribune says that the gray whale birth rate has undergone a “precipitous drop” because of “thick Arctic ice.”
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/s...haletally.html
So, if we went from gray whales wintering over in the Arctic because it was so warm three years ago, to dropping birth rates because the ice has gotten too thick for the mama whales to eat last summer, the scientific evidence can only support the position that Global Cooling and the Coming Ice Age predicted in the early 1980’s have actually arrived.
Based on conclusive scientific data, the earth is cooling at a frightening rate, just in time to save us all from burning up in the solar furnace. Can we now put the Gore-acle to pasture? And where did I put my nuclear-powered space heater?

There was a time when all a man worried about was how much wood or coal to lay in. Too much was always better.
And for a weather report, he'd go out and come back in for more clothes if needed.
Now, today, my wife and I were laying the last of 3600 paver bricks and it started to rain after the first hour. But she turned on the trusty counter-top TV and we planned the work according to a green patchy area moving across the weather screen. Could see it was going to clear up. Complicated but it sort-of works.
Ice age? Well something suddenly froze those Mastodons (or is it Mammoths) so quick thousands of years ago, that they're still fresh and edible as they thaw today. So I'm worried about not just my yard or back 40 but the world now. I suppose it won't be too long and some scientist will notice that if Earth survives, there is evidence of a Super Nova going to shortly explode in the Milky Way which is going to ruin our galaxy weather. It sucks to be a human with the sometimes gift of foresight.
Shucks, I think we will just go out and buy a steak and some beer for supper. God knows we earned it after all those damn bricks. Beef, not mastodon. And I might not get a chance to properly die from cholesterol anyway.

When you read a scientific report that sounds doom and gloom just wait a few weeks and there will be another one that completely contradicts it. Same with what you eat and drink. This month there will be a report that such and such food or drink causes all kinds of cancer and other health problems. Once that drops off the front page there will be one telling you all the benefits of eating and drinking the same stuff. I just eat and drink what I like and want to and don't worry about it. At my age and after having survived fried Mastodon chips, nothing bothers me in the food group.

I'm with you on this.
Most studies like this have a preconcieved conclusion, and they just arrange the facts they gather to support their desired findings.
