This week in history...

Do you know what happened this week back in 1850?

California became a state on September 9, 1850.

The State had no electricity. The State had no money. Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gunfights in the streets.

Basically, it was just like California today, except the women had
real tits and the men didn't hold hands.

Great post Roscoe. And unless they have taken it off the books, at one time back then California had a law that paper money was illegal in the state. Just Gold. I guess I will have to melt down my 25 pound Gold Bar and have money made in the shape of bills.
