Default Oklahoma & Illegals

I don't know what is correct, or incorrect. I do think it is a start, and it should national.

Well, it passed! Oklahoma is no longer OK for Illegal Aliens........
It seems that at least one state has decided to take matters into it's own hands, since the Federal Government keeps dragging it's feet on this Illegal alien stuff and even reversing popular opinion on how to handle it. BRAVO OKLAHOMA! (Too bad all politicians don't have the 'guts' to do this)

Every State needs to do this!!!!

Oklahoma's Governor Brad Henry has signed a sweeping immigration Reform bill: House Bill 1804, that its sponsor believes will go a long way in dealing with the illegal alien problem in the state.

House Bill 1804 was passed by overwhelming majorities in both the House and Senate of the Oklahoma Legislature. The measure's sponsor, State Representative Randy Terrill, says the bill has four main topical areas: it deals with identity theft; it terminates public assistance benefits to illegal; it empowers state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws; and it punishes employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens.

Oklahoma is no longer "O.K." for illegal aliens, Terrill observes. "When you put everything together in context," he contends, "the bottom line is illegal aliens will not come here if there are no jobs waiting for them, they will not stay here if there is no government subsidy, and they certainly won't stay here if they know that if they ever encounter our state and local law enforcement officers, they will be physically detained until they're deported. And that's exactly what House Bill 1804 does."

The Oklahoma legislator is pleased the bill he sponsored into law was signed by Governor Henry and believes it will go a long way to curb the illegal immigration problem in the state. "I would remind people that states are separate sovereigns in our federal system," Terrill points out. "Anyone who doesn't understand that needs to go back and take an American federal government class in college," he says.

As a result of that sovereignty, the Oklahoma lawmaker insists, "We have as much right - in fact, I would argue, a responsibility - to protect our tax payers against that sort of egregious waste, fraud and abuse as the federal government should have a responsibility to protect that international border, but doesn't do that."

Terrill says as long as the federal government refuses to do its job of protecting the international borders of the United States, states like Oklahoma must take action to deal with the problem that is costing taxpayers in the state $200 billion a year in public benefits, law enforcement costs, and other resources.

14 GOOD REASONS TO DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS
(websites provided for verification)

Hope these 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read by the majority of Americans. Then they will have something to yell at their U.S. Congress members. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77 <http://tinyurl.com/zob77>

$2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

$2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html <http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html>

$12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP.../01/ldt.0.html <http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.0.html>

$17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html <http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html>

$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html <http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html>

30% of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/06 <http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/06> 04/01/ldt.01.HTML

$90 Bill ion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.
http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html <http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html>

$200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...01/ldt.01.html <http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html>

The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United States http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...12/ldt.01.html <http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html>

During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report: http://tinyurl.com/t9sht <http://tinyurl.com/t9sht>

The National Policy Institute "estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period." http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.o...eportation.pdf <http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportation.pdf>

In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm <http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm>

So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230 BILLION DOLLARS, Start getting rid of em.' We'll be ahead after the 1st year!!!

Please pass this on. Americans need to wake up!

I think OK is on the right track,..as far as it goes.

They don't seemed too concerned about the Okies swimming the Red River into Texas though.

Fred,

Since Texas is closer to Mexico than any of the other states unless you consider California and the Southern tip which is Mexico, I think they should all be stopped in Texas. Then deport the ones they catch back there and let them go home.

That's what I do when I go fishing. Most of them are catch and release. I wonder if I've ever caught the same fish twice in one day. I know that many illegal aliens caught crossing the border in the morning are caught again in the afternoon.

Catch & releasing illegal aliens is like trying to bail out the Atlantic Ocean. They come here for the money ... a better living. I do not blame them (the 95% "good" illegal aliens) for trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. But its costing me and you a lot of money to support most of the "undocumented workers" (I have to be PC at least once ).

Now that one state has stepped up to the "bar" and said "enough is enough", maybe many of our fat a$$ congressmen and senators will finally wake up. If the conversion is one state at a time as compared to any federal laws being introduced and enforced, then all the illegal aliens will move to my royal blue state of Massachusetts ...

My friends, you finally "get it."

States' Rights. About time somebody dropped his cajones and did something. The War of Northern Aggression ended in 1866.

I'm here not because of fear.

We left Kalifornia and didn't shed a tear.

We certainly didn't come here for the beer!

We're here because of what we hold dear.

Those who would fault us should certainly fear...

Because many, many, fought for what we hold dear.

I'm over my rant, now.

(Music) "I'm proud to be an Okie from Muskogee..."

Actually Muskogee is about 80 miles north of us, the "homeplace" of the Muscogee Creek tribe. Look it up, it's worth a term paper.

I'm sorry, I gotta say this, ( I am Choc-taw)...

"Hey, Anglo, you took our lands and starved us, but we get paybacks. We hooked you on tobacco, now we sell it to you cheap at stores on Tribal land. You can play Bingo here and gamble at our casinoes, which are flourishing, by the way."

What goes around, comes around.

Well put U.T. I always did like that song by Merle Haggard. He has a ranch about 20 miles from me and I used to see him around here all the time. But since my health problems I don't get out much so I haven't seen him for a long time.

then all the illegal aliens will move to my royal blue state of Massachusetts ... . Now that sounds like a great idea. All of the illegals and the Kennedy's in the same place. Get Teddy a big SUV to drive them around in and he can drown them a few at a time. The others can move in with Warren.

I think they secretly did this to do two things;

1. Get all of us to move to Oklahoma.
2. To keep Warren out.

Trularin, you are gonna have to draw me a picture or a flow chart here. I'm just a dumb Okie.

Update:

I just leased 120 acres of mineral rights today at $400/acre.

God has been good to me.

Think of how many kids I can help through college with this!

I will not die a rich man.

Sorry, off-topic, endorphens are kicking in.

Warren, I was also curious if I ever caught the same fish, Farm ponds are one of my favorites and I change lures often so, I wear nail clippers around my neck. Just before release I clip a small 'V' in the dorsal fin, haven't caught the same fish yet!.

a local city here did the same thing. They made it where they could fine property owners if they knowingly rented to illegals, employers could be fined, and there were a few other things as well. Lulac stepped in and claimed it was anti-latino, got a court injunction, and fought the city. Now there is a dumbed down version of the law in place. It allows for the same things, but prevents the property owners from asking if they are legal, even if they do not have an American issued ID card. Likely the same will happen in OK.

SO, What Lulac is saying is that all illegals are Latin? I don't understand the misunderstanding of the word ILLEGAL? Is this the only crime that gets the green light to be ok?

This is sarcastic and facetious, but I don't see swarms of Canadians crowding our northern border trying to find a way to cross into The Promised Land.

What I DO see is Can-a-da's ultra-liberal immigration policy, which pretty much allows ANYONE from ANY country to claim the equivalent of "political asylum" and thus easy access to our northern border.

That spooks me.

Ya, last time I went to Niagara falls, maybe close to a year ago.. there was SWARMS of middle easterners viewing the falls from the canadian side. That same weekend, they caught someone trying to drive a car loaded with weapons into the US through that very entry point! haha

Lulac is claiming that the local ordinance is "Racist" against all Latino's. They claim it is specifically targeting Latino's. Obviously here in Texas the Latino illegals greatly outnumber any others, but I don't see it as racist. I also do not understand how anyone who is in this country illegally has any LEGAL rights what so ever. I agree that all people should have the basic human rights, but they should not have any ground to stand on to protest and other things that have gone on this year.

Another local town was just in the news when groups of illegals were taking their kids out of school because they thought that they would be deported and then the parents never being able to find them.

UT that scares me as well. We should have the same kind of scrutiny on the northern border. I also believe that the Border Patrol should be a part of the Military. Securing the border and policing that border is part of "National Security" and therefore, IMO, falls under the realm of the Military (Part of the National Guard maybe).

IMHO,

If a one armed man robs the bank. Why the hell stop anyone other than a man who has only one arm?

If Middle Easterners are our enemy. I think it would be very rare to have to search a 70 yr old lady with blue hair.

If the shoe fits....then wear it. It is not profiling...IT IS COMMON SENSE, something we have seem to have loss here in America trying to please everyone. The old saying is "you can please most of the people most of the time, but not all of the people all of the time".

We absolutely do need to CONTROL ALL of OUR BORDERS. My wife is an immigrant, and it took money, a year, and a hell of lot of patience with the govt. to get her here.

It is a slap in the face to me, and my wife for these people to be here. PLAIN, AND SIMPLE.....

I agree with that too Imagine. I find it somewhat scary that we have become a society that is against hurting anyones feelings. No matter what you do, you will get someone upset. I am upset that we are trying to cater to illegals, so what has happened is that instead of upsetting the people who are breaking the law, Congress is upsetting the law abiding American Citizens.

I even know of 1 guy who proudly proclaims that his parents were illegal and crossed the border just so he could be born in the US. His parents are still illegal, so he is against these laws. This pisses me off, and he knows it and finds it funny.

Freedom is not free. I don't feel that you should be entitled to any of our rights if you are not abiding by all of our laws. That is the price you pay for those rights. Plenty of men and women have paid with their lives to give us those rights, that payment is not required of anyone, but I feel that the mininmum payment of following the laws is required to get any of the rights.
