That was amazing!!! It is so much fun to watch someone turn a simple instrument into something like that. Thats like Jake in this video (posted before, but some may have missed it):

I didn't know who Jake was (greatest Ukulele player on the planet) when I first saw him here in Hawaii. He was 'just another guy' on the stage at a free concert with a band. Then he did a solo and I mean I STILL feel the chills up and down my spine from that night. I had no idea such sound could come from such a tiny instrument.

Mike,

Those are great videos. You must have quite a collection of them saved back.

I only wish I had a fraction of the talent that those guys and gals have. I can't even sing on key or keep on beat, so a music career is out for me. I do really love music though. William Tell on the harmonica was awesome.

Joe,

My musical talent consists of trying to get a radio or TV tuned so it sounds ok. So you are well above me.

(slight hijack)

I would have loved to see Jake with Bruddah Iz... now that would have
been something.... If you are into hawaiian music, try to find a copy of
"A Portrait of Hawai'i's Music" from Carnegie Hall in 1996.... Some of the stuff
the Makaha Sons sang was unbelievable... chicken skin is an understatement...
As good as the CD/DVD sounds, it's nothing compared to what it was like being there...

Not a hijack, the Makaha sons... good stuff. Hawaiian folk music is a largely missed art form. Bro Iz. Wow. Ray Kane, one of my favorites. Led is great too.

The reason I like Simon Cowell (sp??) is because once in a great while, you see someone like the opera guy. That is simply one of the best feelings in the world.
