Default It's just a sliver (yeah right Ouch!!)

This story starts one week ago today. While working in the shop on my car I managed to stick my self with a small sliver of fiberglass. Removed it and cleaned up the area and thought nothing of it. Jump ahead to Wed. Finger has swelled to the size of my thumb, went to urgent care who in turn sent me to the hospital. Two surgeries and three days later I was able to escape the hospital, now taking horse-pills for ten days and a splint that covers my left arm. Had to wait till today to get a (bad camera phone)pic of it at a follow up visit.
Lesson "wear work gloves when handling anything that can poke the bugs out there are nasty". Now I just lost three weeks of work on my car.

Fiberglass cuts are bad and should be attended to with more care than just a sliver of metal cut. That dust and crap gets down in there and it will infect it. Which you now know. I to found out the hard way except it was in the palm of my hand and just a small cut. Had to wear full hand bandage for over a week and take the antibiotic pills. Hope that it is healed soon.

OUCH!!!
But it's been 3 DAYS, so stop whining and get out there and finish the car...so far it's been fantastic and a great read. You know you must do it for your adoring public!

Really---get better soon and buy some damn gloves!
