Default Which Boat Should I Buy?

Maybe the Spirit of Boston ... it would be (and is) a great party boat.

... or maybe the Norwegian Dream, hmmmmm. I think there might be some room somewhere to stow the Cobra.

The cruise ship left Boston Sunday for a 7 day cruise to Bermuda. Don't think I'd want a Cobra on Bermuda with their 25 MPH speed limit.

Buy one with a money tank right next to the gas tank. That way you won't have far to go when the boat needs more money poured into it.

whatever one you get, it had better have a large galley to hold all of the food
you consume......breakfast food will take up a whole deck.

no seriously get one big enough to race on the deck, we will have a good place for a cobra day.

Oh yes ... burnouts right into a pool. Do Cobras float?

think of the pool as a water box for the burnout. going thru the guardrail
may prove to be deadly. but thats how you weed out the lightweights.

I dunno, I've cruised on the SOB (did they think that name through??) and my guess is the the ND is a sweeter ride, though rough on the gas budget. But then again... if gas is an issue...

I think Warren was just looking to get a few more shots of his Cobra.

You have to admit that its a nice picture. It was a cloudy day, but that did not stop me from exploring Boston for about 4 hours. Met some nice people, had a great lunch, used up a small percentage of the world's oil supply ... and got some nice pics.

Jimmy's Harbor Side is regrettably closed.

Cobra is in Anthony's Pier 4 restaurant parking lot. The Norwegian Dream is sailing away from the Black Falcon Pier.

Buying a boat is a very individualistic choice.
1) Where will you cruise?
2) Can you afford the upkeep?
3) GEEEZE can you afford the fuel??
4) How many guest do you anticipate at the most?
4) Can you yourself handle a boat this big, or will you need crew?
5) Do you really want a power boat in today's economy, or would a sailboat be better?
6) Finding a place to berth the beast when you are not cruising!
Not to mention can you afford the berth?
7) Is this just the man's dream, or does the young lady in the Cobra want to go along?

These questions are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to choosing a boat. Buying a boat is serious stuff, but BEST WISHES anyway in making a choice that will make YOU happy....hehehehehehehe

I2F
I sold my last boat about 40 years ago. I live 5 houses away from the Atlantic Ocean, so if I want to go out on a boat, I've got dozens of neighbors with boats. There is a marina about 2 miles away from my house. My sister and brother-in-law have two 30 foot power boats and I could borrow one but they are about 60 miles away. I'm really not in the market, but if I did buy one, it would probably be a Cigarette boat with a couple of blown BBC motors...
