The Portfolio article reported that former Countrywide Financial loan officer Robert Feinberg stated that he personally spoke with Senator Dodd and Senator Conrad about their special mortgage deals. It also noted the existence of e-mail traffic between Mr. Feinberg and former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo on the subject of VIP loans and notes that Mr. Feinberg is in possession of “stacks of documents about the VIP operation.”

Our honest ABE Mr. Dodd stil has not come clean on his loan. And now he blames the banks and loan company's for the mess-- BUT isn't he a chairman on the banking comittee.
IT STINKS LIKE HELL yet the other idiots in Ct will reelect him!!

I disagree Senator. Before you were elected to your Senate seat, you made a fortune in the real estate business. You are bailing out your friends in the real estate business.
You are bailing out two bureaucratic government GSE's. You are bailing out stupid people that overleveraged their personal balance sheets. You are bailing out real estate speculators. You are bailing out overleveraged banks and hedge funds.
And the conservative taxpayer will pay the bill.

Who but the taxpayers ever pays for any of their stupid ideas. And I just wonder how much of that money they will get in kick backs of one kind or another. They should also give up their pay raises and other perks for a couple of years to help the cause.

95, I know!, fired off an email condemning his vote with reasons why. Most of the people applying for those loans 'lied like a dog' on their net worth or income. I also fault the loan officers for not confirming.
