Default Obama has a problem and it lives in a hut!

BREITBART: 'The Inconvenient Obama'
Andrew Breitbart
Tuesday, August 26, 2008

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Sen. Barack Obama has a problem. And it lives in a hut.

His name is George Hussein Onyango Obama, and he is the 26-year-old half brother of Mr. Obama, the multimillionaire autobiographer who neglected to write that his paternal sibling lives on less than a dollar a month in the outer slums of Nairobi, Kenya.

They have met twice.

Unearthed by Italian Vanity Fair and virtually ignored by the American press, the inconvenient George Obama could emerge as a compelling character in the freshman senator's carefully edited road-to-the-White-House narrative - especially now that his campaign has unleashed a personal attack on Sen. John McCain's station in life.

The Obama hit job on Mr. McCain seizes on his clumsiness in answering a reporter's question about how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own. "I think - I'll have my staff get to you," Mr. McCain fumbled. In a well-funded nationally televised ad spot titled "Seven," Mr. Obama's messenger twice repeats the correct answer as the words on the screen reinforce the meme of class warfare.

"Seven. Worth $13 million."

The Sunday morning shows parroted Mr. Obama's shocking discovery that the McCain family is well-off. Smarting Obamaniacs campaigning for their messiah are now scripted to ask voters in battleground states how many houses they own and participate in an official campaign contest, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: McCain Edition." Winners receive hope, change and fist bumps - spoils of the "new kind of politics."

Someone who made $4.2 million last year and lives in a mansion that a mobster helped pay for should not be throwing stones. When Mr. Obama's flesh-and-blood lives in squalor, raising the standard of living of his opponent's extended family is probably not a smart idea.

It's scary to think that this could be a preview of an Obama presidency in which attacking the rich is all the rage, and the rich in the news media pretend it's OK. Hugo Chavez is having a helluva run bringing down his formerly prosperous nation of Venezuela with that formula.

Mr. McCain, of course, would be publicly eviscerated if he funded an ad campaign called "12" - as in the amount of dollars a year Mr. Obama's half-brother subsists on. The message also could accurately point out that Mr. Obama and his wife, Michelle, have consistently fallen short of the national average in charitable contributions since they entered the highest income bracket - despite their ballyhooed "progressive" religious faith that touts "economic equality."

It would also be fair game now to point out that preaching "social justice" pays better than being a United States senator. The Trinity United Church of Christ is building a mansion for the Rev. Jeremiah Wright that includes an elevator, a butler's pantry, a bar, a rubberized exercise room - and the 10,000-square-foot estate backs up to the Odyssey Country Club. (Memo to wealthy Caucasian Republican members of the golf club: "Fore!")

Attached to Mr. Wright's church-funded property is a peculiar $10 million line of credit - presumably, none of which will be given to George Obama.

Mr. McCain's ad also could highlight that Michelle Obama is on leave from her $317,000-a-year job at the University of Chicago Medical Center, which is now under scrutiny - along with Obama campaign chief David Axelrod and two other staffers - for a scheme that, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, "steers patients who don't have private insurance - primarily poor, black people - to other health care facilities."

"The medical professionals who have come to me are accusing the university of dumping patients on its neighboring institutions," Toni Preckwinkle, alderman for the 4th Ward, told the paper.

Patient-dumping poor blacks may be interesting, but not quite as newsworthy as John McCain marrying a beer heiress 28 years ago.

Does anyone think if Mr. McCain had a sibling living in a trailer park making minimum wage (892 times more than Mr. Obama's half brother's yearly income) that the mainstream media and the Obama campaign wouldn't notice?

In fact, last week National Public Radio ran a piece titled, "Cindy McCain's Half Sister 'Angry' She's Hidden," highlighting that Mr. McCain's wife's half sister was left out of her father's will. The piece was duly filed under the publicly funded network's "conservative compassion deficit" media template.

Yet Mr. Obama has a half brother who lives in Africa on three cents a day, and the story breaks in an Italian magazine and is picked up by a London newspaper and a few others in Australia. Perhaps the story would be carried widely in America if they could figure out how to blame President Bush. But as Bob Geldof pointed out, he "has done more [for Africa] than any other president," and of the press harshly judged, "You guys didn't pay attention."

Nor will they pay attention that the McCains have adopted a poor Bangladeshi child and done untold amounts of humanitarian and charity work.

What makes this story newsworthy for Italians, Brits and Aussies, but not Americans, is that the U.S. free press is free to ignore stories that could take down their preordained president. And after the Internet and talk radio-driven "Swift Boat" story unexpectedly sank their last guy, the mainstream American press is taking extra precautions this time around.

If for some inexplicable reason the media are forced by their online and talk radio betters to run with this outrageous and creepy story, key Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey can come to the rescue at the Democratic National Convention. On Night 3, the billionaire television hostess can synthesize her two best show archetypes: the heart-wrenching family reunion and "Oprah's Favorite Things," the giveaway of material goods.

Imagine the emotional fireworks when 75,000 Obama supporters at Invesco Field witness Barack Obama reconnecting with his destitute half brother as is he lavished with Kai Body Butter & Buffer, Perfect Endings Cupcakes by Williams-Sonoma, Hand-Blown Crystal Champagne Glasses by Deborah Ehrlich and a Pure Simplicity Pumpkin Purifying Mask.

Controversy averted. Because Democrats care more.

______

I'm sure Barry could find room in his Rezko financed mansion to fit in brother George Hussein Onyango.

Better yet, BO should be "swift boated" with an ad that since BO has ignored his own brother in poverty, that John McCain will gladly invite brother George to stay in one of his houses so that George can have a TV to watch his estranged brother lose the race to the White House!

I see the Washington Times picked this up.....

Did you notice the comments regarding Michelle on page 2?!?!?!

The audacity of patient dumping.

I doubt either candidate will make an issue of their family connections. McCains wife has not been too outgoing about Kathleen Portalski.

I almost feel bad for candidates because somebody really feels the need to dig up this kind of stuff instead of focusing on what they will or won't do for the country.
In case I ever do something stupid and run for office - here it is - I have not talked to my mum in 3 years, and until my dad died last summer I had not talked to or seen my sister in 10. I also see no point in not inhaling. So who's gonna vote for me?

It's always amazing what can happen when one draws first blood. What's the saying regarding what's good for the goose?

"The Republican Party of Texas released a Web video Friday seizing on the story, in response to Obama’s earlier ad mocking John McCain for allegedly not knowing how many homes he and his wife Cindy own."

Steve,
You'd make an interesting president. You seem to think you have the infallible answer to everything. If it were between you and Obama, I'd vote fer ya.

Post count.

Probably an equally justifiable statement would be the thorn and plank in their eyes.

It must hurt when those glass walls break after throwing stones.

I'd be a one term president - if I lasted that long without getting shot. I'd have the ultra-Christian crazies after me from one side, and the anti-gun/PC crowd after me from the other (though I would be less worried about them).
And my answers are infallible until someone manages to prove me wrong. Most of you give up much too easily and start calling me names.

No vote for you, based on how you've managed your family life, plus you are a liberal.

As you can see I live in the Chicago area and it would be nice if the records of the Grant that OBAMA was working for to help the displaced steel workers on the south side could be found . Oh yea that was along the time he meant Mr Toni of the south side better business club. Mr Toni Rezko is a bag man and anyone that knew him knows this .
Quote Obama, I never heard Rev. Wright say anything like that while I was there !!!!!!!!!!!!
Quote Obama, I did know about Mr. Rezko that well, I just bought a home with his wifes help !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obama and the south side group challenged the front runners signatures on partition to run for office at the last minute and got his name removed from the ballot. Nice UH.
Guess who turn out to behind that ?

If you don't think Obama isn't dirt ball from the south side politics you need to think again

these people would disagree.

"Tony Bennett’s not the only one who’s rocking it for Obama. On Thursday, a huge music show is being put together for the Democratic nominee at Invesco Field right before he gives his nominating speech. Confirmed already are Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crow, the Black Eyed Peas and a few surprises. One of those, I’m told, is Stevie Wonder, who may debut a song he wrote specifically for Obama. How cool is that?"

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,410762,00.html

oh, to answer this idiotic correspondent's question. Only he would think it is cool. How a self absorbed magma thinking dip like Roger Friedman gets a paying job like this way beyond "my pay grade".

Sorry I had to add the Jekyl and Hyde.

That's correct, but not actually lies - my version of the truth, plus some spinnning of the facts - anything to assure that you would lose, big time.

In BO case, the facts is all anyone is looking to uncover - they should be sufficient to deny him acces to the nuclear button - of course, in his case he would not push it anyway, he's allow nukes to rain on America - he's not one of us.

Also, it's my understand that BO had time to secure one piece of pork prior to running for POTUS - I believe it was $15 million and it went to the hospital that his wife works for - they pay her over $300K! Of course, lots of congress people get pork, except for McCain and McCain will be out to either put a stop to it or have each piece of pork voted on separately - not added to bills in the middle of the night! Vote McCain - he will stay out of your wallet!

This was posted at CNSNews - Shapiro nails it, big time!

Barack Obama’s Big Mistake
Wednesday, August 27, 2008
By Ben Shapiro

Campaigns usually collapse because of gaffes -- off-the-cuff actions that accidentally reveal the true nature of candidates.

And the Barack Obama campaign has had more than its share of revealing gaffes: Obama’s statement that rural voters turn to God, guns and racism because they have no jobs; his explanation that proper tire gauge use would fix high gas prices; his self-aggrandizing exhortation that he has “become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions”; his associations with Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko; the list goes on and on.

But gaffes are not the real reason for the stagnation of the Obama campaign. That stagnation is due to one factor: successful distribution of the Obama message.

Gaffes highlight the discrepancy between the message a campaign seeks to push and the message the campaign actually believes. When Americans recognize such discrepancies, they sense dishonesty and vote against it.

In certain rare cases, however, campaigns are killed not by gaffes, but by success: a campaign carefully plans, produces, and pushes its message, and the American people reject that message. George McGovern’s campaign was honest, open and diligent. And Richard Nixon trounced him because Americans did not like his message.

The last several weeks demonstrate one vital fact: The Barack Obama campaign is floundering not because of gaffes, but because of its success. They have portrayed their candidate and his message precisely the way they want to. They have controlled every media situation. They have not been plagued by a rash of mistakes in the last few weeks. The Obama campaign is drowning because Americans simply do not like the message.

The last months should have been a boon for the Obama camp. Obama began with a five-point lead in the Gallup daily tracking polls. He traveled to the Middle East, meeting with Muslim and Jewish leaders. He spoke repeatedly in Europe to throngs of wildly cheering crowds. He returned to the United States, and, after taking a well-deserved break, picked a vice presidential candidate, voluble Senator Joe Biden. He then embarked on a four-day commercial in the form of the Democratic National Convention.

And as of Tuesday afternoon, Barack Obama was trailing John McCain in the Gallup daily tracking polls.

Obama trails because Americans do not like his message. His ill-advised European victory tour illustrated his elitism and international identity. His choice of Joe Biden exhibited his comfortableness with arrogance, his vindictiveness (in not even considering Hillary Clinton) and his lack of confidence in his own experience.

And then there was the opening of the Democratic National Convention. His wife, Michelle Obama, spoke. Michelle has undergone a makeover. When last we saw her, she was insisting that her husband’s triumphant candidacy represented the first time she was proud of her country during her adult life.

When she emerged onto the stage in Denver on Monday night, her hair was less wiry, her attire more feminine, her message more rehearsed. She focused on her own humble upbringing. She focused on her husband’s qualities as a father. She talked about hope and change.

And then she said this: “And as I tuck [my] little girl and her little sister into bed at night, I think about how one day, they’ll have families of their own. And one day, they -- and your sons and daughters -- will tell their own children about what we did together in this election. They’ll tell them how this time … we committed ourselves to building the world as it should be.”

This is the message the Obamas want. It is the message the DNC wants. And it is the message Americans do not like. We do not want to hear a would-be savior’s wife inform us that by voting for her husband, we join a historic and messianic movement. We do not want to hear about how the president must dedicate himself to “building the world as it should be.”

We want a president who is confident, not arrogant; competent, not grandiose; a reshaper, not a remaker. We want a president who does not dismiss the abortion question as “above my pay grade” while embracing world transformation as a proper goal. We want a statesman, not a quasi-religious figure.

Moments define campaigns. By minimizing mistakes, candidates hope they can maximize their chances of victory. The problem for Barack Obama is that it isn’t his mistakes that are killing him -- it’s his triumphs of marketing and messaging that are destroying him. Every time he gets out his message, he loses voters. And that’s a recipe for electoral disaster.

Tax oil company profits, tax everyone else. Eliminate weapon systems development, missile defense system - basically gut the military.

Pictured are the credentials for the Thursday evening Barack Obama (he'll be speaking from a Greek Temple in the middle of a football field) gala in Denver is an upside-down flag, signaling a sign of distress. Interesting.

Obama hates America.

Well, most of those on the uptight right hate freedom so I guess the two sides are even.

Both candidates will leave us with a much larger deficit. Obama will pay for his plans by not cutting/raising taxes for families that make over $250K. McCain will pay for his by not making significant cuts equal to Obamas to those under $250K.

Personally, I think that the best economic policy involves both trickle up AND trickle down.
