Default Bummed. Won't be driving the Cobra for a while.

I totaled out my truck in a single car accident so, driving my cobra is done for the year.

I'm a diabetic and have brain damage as a young child. I have a constant headache to a extreme debilitating pain in my head, 27/7 for 46 years now. I get what I've called "zaps) since childhood. It's like the old mad scientist with the two metal balls that electricity is "zapping" between them, and that's what goes on in my head 27/7 for 46 years now. I have a pain scale from 1-10 and any given day will raise & lower several times per day. Many things can set my "zaps" off.

I actually don't remember what & where it happened. I guess I drove the truck for a few blocks before hitting the house so, we don't know which problem caused my passing out, maybe both. I was driving my truck home from the shop when I passed out, went across traffic, and drove, litterly,... into a house. Thankfully, the Lord was protecting the family, as no one was home !

This pain pass out situation has only happened a hand full of times since childhood. When my pain is at say, a five, I don't do anything at all but take some medication and lay down in a very quiet and dark room. I can't/wont drive at a four so, it wasn't like I was driving when I shouldn't have. I usually feel the bad pain coming on but, this time, it was so fast.

The fire crew had to cut me out. There was a large piece of wood that came through the windshield and just missed my head. My truck does not have a air bag but, I've always,... wore my seat belt. The officer told my wife (and my best friend that witnessed the accident) that it definitely save my life.

The truck is a complete total loss but the newer tires. The frame is bent in the front & back. The wrecking crew and a state provided contractor had to leave the top, of the truck where it was because, it was holding up the second floor of the house. I still can't believe the second story was almost on my head !

The only injuries I have are a couple of cut's, cracked hip and shoulder blade, and very,....very sore. The impact was enough G-force that some blood vessels in my eye's were broke and are beat red. I'll look very "spooky" for Halloween.

I won't be able to drive the cobra, as the last nice days we have before the cold weather sets in. Some neighbor's, friends and family, said they will help me get the cobra ready for it's hibernation. I sure wanted that, "last drive"
lol

I thank God, Jesus and my best friend, for saving the family's lives. It's a debt I'll never be able to pay back.

Anyway,.......I would like to ask for anyone here that loves the Lord, to pray for this family. I don't believe they are too well off, as the house is very old but, it doesn't matter, it's their home !

Thanks,
Kev

Kev,

I am really sorry to hear of your accident and that has to be really frightening. I will not only have the family in my prayers too, but you also. Don't worry about the Cobra, and if you had been driving it, things could have been much worse with nothing to hold the 2nd story of the house up.

Ron

take care, Kevin. Praying for you and your family and the family of the accident.
It was bad, yes, but could have been much much worse.

I have heard horrible migraines cause these symptoms, but i am sure you have already had tons of tests for simple things.

anyway, many of us will be thinking of you.

I appreciate all your kind words and prayers for the family and myself.
I've heard that they want to contact me to see how I'm doing. That's pretty special this day & age.

I would also like to talk with them with my apologies.
Their home is uninhabitable at this point but, our insurance company has put them in a nice hotel and they are doing everything they can, to either fix the house or rebuild a new one for them. It was appraised at only $80,000 but like I said, it's their home. Thanks to God and great insurance.

Kev
