Default Palin in 2012

So, I am sure by now you have heard the rumors.

Do you think they are just rumors or is this the beginning of the next election.

I am wondering what her chances would be going it alone. I am sure it would depend a lot on how well Oh-no does over the next four years.

Not looking for a bunch of BS fighting here.
Just wondering what everyone thinks.

She has a history, a history of accomplishments!!. That history also came with accountability which she embraced. Can't think of anyone who was 'vetted' more!.

I am sure that she would get Tina Fey's vote.

No one is perfect I admit, but I think she has stepped up to the plate and took the heat more than many other political leaders.

I was a little impressed with her at first based on what I knew about her going after Ted Stevens. I also liked that she did not need a full time chef as Governor, and sold the plane. I appreciate that, for the most part, she is against some wasteful spending, but she was in favour of the bridge before she was against it.

I don't like her lack of travel. She will need some good people working for her to overcome her lack of experience in dealing with other countries.

I do like that she seems rather down-to-earth, and that she does not seem to be trying to push her religion (despite what the left wing loonies say).

A lot of it will depend on how well Obama does in the next 4 years. If he does well, then she should wait until 2016, and let the GOP rebuild properly. Running against a popular/semi-popular incumbent is a great way to associate yourself with defeat. It may be in her best interests to appoint herself Senator to replace Stevens and get some time on the national stage.

The problem the GOP is going to have is that things are such a mess now that Obama would have to be a complete idiot to manage to make things worse. The good news for the GOP is that if things do get worse then there will be nobody to blame except the DNC.

Steve

GOP wants to run Palin in 2012? How much smaller can the party get? Elections are won in the middle, not the fringe like Palin.

He is Catholic, but I'm sure he will be accused of cow worship at some point. GOP idiots tried to convince people that Obama is Muslim - I'm sure someone in the DNC will be more than happy to play the same game.

He ran into that here in La before his election. Since then he's proven himself and overcome the 'foreigner' stigma - here at least. At least there is no question of him being a born US citizen

Talking Palin/Jindal '12!

I think that compressing the GOP and returning it to Reaganesque philosophy and roots is critical. Small gummint, low taxes, get the foo keen gummint off'n my back and out of my wallet! This compression would be indeed temporary, especially in light of what 4 to 8 years of crazed Lefty rule will show the Americans! The fact that the voting sheeple have to keep putting their hands over the flamin' burner to find out what it's like is a sobering enuff.

I say we put Sarah and bobby on a ticket for 2012 and use Alien Fred's avatar as the campaign poster! (They'll have moving posters by then, right?) Ar, etc.

I also will admit that I voted for Governor Sarah because she winked at me! Hey! That was AT ME!

Just wait and see if Obama can enact HALF of his loony stuff with the economy panting in the gutter. It (the fecal economy) may act as a brake. A recent book (about which I just heard on Rush's program today) outlines the new Lefty fetish for a diminished and reined-in America. (Having part-heimers meself, I can't remember it however!)....ar-ar-aroooogah!

Unless she beefs up her resume in a huge way, we have heard the last of Gov. Palin, at least on the National Political stage

Then again, I would have thought there was NO WAY IN HELL that America would elect a Black man as President at this point in history.

Freddie,From what I have seen of Sarah on tv,she could do a very nice job of making her own Bouncin' Boobie Poster.
Seeing as how she is winking at you on national tv,you should get in contact with her and tell her of our desires.

I liked the pundit who when asked if he saw Palin as the GOP savior, and if she would be a good prospect in 2012 said "I think she'll make good mayor in Wasilla............................."

But then, I'm a conservative liberal......................

Hey, if America has gotten to the stage where a knee-grow with a thin resume, a silver tongue and a furrin' sounding name can be elected as POTUS, then WTH not a good ol' redneck gal from Alaska who can wink an' sing a ketchy tune to the (dwindling) redneck "base" but knows jack about major issues and the outside world?
Palin in 2012 - The audacity of hope!!

Honestly.....
Being black has nothing to do with hiring the right person for the job. I am not a black man, nor did I vote for Obama. However I would have voted for Colin Powell in a heartbeat.

Please leave race out of the discussion.

Talking Buzz...

....one "knee grow" I'd vote for ahead of all other candidates of any skin tonation (with the possible exception of the hottie who winked at me!) is ex-Lt. Governor of Maryland Michael S. Steele. I met him at a Young Republicans dinner at Harvard College!!!!!! (Yes, there are Republicans at Harvard!) He is extremely impressive. Huge guy (6'5", a collegiate champion fencer [!] and a brilliant and humorous speaker).

BTW why do y'all think that the Youse Navy took me into OCS in 1968? Hint: see how I sign me name on this site! Back then, you couldn't declare "race, creed or color" on the applications----guess they guessed wrong aboot me! Ar-ar-ar-ar-oooooo-gah!

Most days (depending on exposure to the sunlight) I resemble a large, cuddly, pinkish-white go-freakin'-illa!!!! (see pichah gallery)

Oh and BTW#2, Buzz, today's around-the-island sprint race shall be clockwise (to wear in the starboard tires!)
