Comcast launches all-Obama channel
I wonder if this is a sign of things to come ?
Comcast launches all-Obama channel
Do you need Obama coverage 24 hours a day? In several markets, Comcast cable is launching an all-Obama, On Demand channel. (In D.C., it's channel 963).
Leading up to Inauguration, the channel will offer a number of Obama-related programs, according to a release: "Barack Obama’s most famous speeches to date, from his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2004 through his election night victory speech in Grant Park; Barack Obama biography; Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech; a tour of the White House; and the history of Air Force One."
Dish Network launched an all-Obama channel during the campaign.

I hope the three people in the world that give a rat's ass can stay awake long enough to watch it for 24 hours at a time!

Fred,
This is the downside to gutting the Fairness Doctrine during the Reagan administration. Not that it ever fully applied to cable etc. But now it never will.
Now anybody can buy the very finest American proganda money can buy.
Without giving free equal time to the competition.
Sure, the idea worked great, at first, for Rush Limbaugh, Fox News etc...

They're too late!
Dint all the commercial broadcast channels, CNN, PMSNBC, newspapers "news"magazines and the rest of the Media go over to "All Obama All the Time" aboot 16 month ago?
If you think there's still hope for conservatives/Republicans/Red-Blooded/gun-hugging/ True Americans/Heteroes, etc----just watch some of the populah culchah programs ("American Idol", etc. ad nauseum). Look at the just-out-of or still-in Hah Skew audiences. Sanctified Fecal Matter!
While on the Crudes in Hawaii, I was able to sample a cross-section of Amurricun public. Let's just put it this way----if you weigh 350+, please don't wear half-pants and wife-beater t-shirts. Especially if you have a white balloon of lard blossoming out of said shirt, just below each of your arms. OMG, I felt positively svelte next to some of these cretins. And the dinner-time "conversation"? Yikes. I would have lapsed into narcolepsic trances, had not our table-mates been so raucously rhapsodic about our New President!
Alexander Hamilton, in a lacerating retort (one of many) to Jefferson: "'The Public', Sir? Your 'Public" is an ASS!!!"
I don't hold out much hope of making The Messiah a one-term president with the Media TOTALLY in his camp!!!!
Karioke,

I thought that running a government was supposed to be serious work, now it is being treated like some sort of entertainment.
