US Airways crash landing
Mostly, the news stories these days are about idiots and incompetents doing stupid things with predictable results. Nice to see a pilot who kept a cool head under fire and brought the plane down safely with no loss of life. Two thumbs up!

OMG!!
I bet this pilot was far cooler than we could even imagine.
I heard he had a choice of some smooth water and some choppy water
...and he chose the choppy water.
I bet he was observing the passenger cameras for stuff like Freds avatar, all the while he was casually landing.
You Texans are all alike!
Gotta admire that.

Heard the Pilot walked the plane back to front to make sure all were off. I think I will request this pilot on my next flight.

Pilot was an expert flying gliders. Just who I want flying when both engines flame out. A true hero.

It was very fortunate that there was no loss of life. This could very easily have ended in major tragedy. My hat's off to this pilot!

Yeah, but still there were people injured, and to think of the mental trauma many people have suffered that will now will forever scar their life, affecting their ability to fly again. Once you review the facts, I'm sure one can find something that could have been done better. There's money to be made. US Air has a lot of money. Where's a good lawyer when you need one.

Seems to me that for once there was a true miracle that occured, the best pilot, best conditions, a perfect landing, emergency help immediately available and nobody died.
All the dots were lined up perfectly....So maybe we should just be thankful that the good guys won. The folks on that plane should be sending the pilot a big check with a Thank You Card! Happy New Year.

Anthony,
From reading a lot of your posts,I understand your a Doctor.
I don't remember ever seeing what field of medicine though.
Judging from your general attitude and demeanor, would you happen to be a Proctologist ?

Mentioned by Anthony:

Thought it was totally inappropriate for Jay Leno in his monologue to be making jokes regarding the incident.....poor taste.
