Default Any appliance repair guys here? Bosch dishwasher problem..

Guys,
I have a Bosch SHU5302UC dishwasher. It has what should be a VERY easy problem to repair. The drain hose leading to the sink that discharges waste water is split and needs to be replaced. I have done this many times before on other dishwashers and it is usually a 5 minute job. The problem is with this dishwasher it has a casing that surrounds the entire unit, even the bottom, and the hose disappears into the casing. I have to get to the hose connection to the unit that lies inside the casing. How do I do this? I have never seen a dishwasher built like this before. Anyone have any ideas?

I can't begin to figure out how to remove this case, and I don't want to blindly start removing screws because none of them look like they obviously hold the casing on, and I am afraid of what might fall off inside the unit that I will then need to repair as well. If anyone has any information on how I replace this hose, or suggestions on a website or book where I can obtain more info I would appreciate it.

Sorry for the "off-topic" post, but I continue to be impressed by the vast array of differing talents assembled on this site. Thanks in advance.
Doug

Doug,

How about try here:

Finish selecting your exact series of model [choices, SHU5302 UC/06 (FD 7705-7912), SHU5302 UC/11 (FD 8001-8003), or SHU5302 UC/12 (FD 8003-)].

The drain hoses look like they fit many applications and sell for $12.95 . There seems to be many pages of parts available (I didn't look at all) so look for a repair manual to order at the same time, which is what you needed in the first place.

One way if all else fails.

Wes

Thanks, Wes - no luck on the repair manual.

Pay the $5 to join. It is lifetime. I have used them to fix my dishwasher, and my icemaker. Love that site! I also used it to trouble shoot a Insinkerator.

The folks here are very helpful. Search on your model number for repairs already done.

Mike

Think the Maytags are like that too. You have to slide the dishwasher out of the case. There is a couple screws in the front behind the plate under the door.

It's probably not even made by Bosch, just a re-branded Whirlpool or Tappen like Kenmore (Sears) does.

Instead of a repair manual look for an installation guide.

I couldn't find that model listed on their side but this may be similar:

You'll have to remove the right filler panel from your counter to get at it (hopefully without pulling up the countertop). I see what your talking about now, you can't pull it out of the case like most ones I've seen.

Just splice the hose and be done with it

I wish I could - it's one of those ringed white plastic hoses, I can't get a clean splice on it.
