Pete Sessions used to be my rep before re-districting, now is Michael Burgess. I have attended all of the TH meetings, and it seems the majority of attendees are quite similar in viewpoint to me. Burgess has gotten an earful about the bailouts, and healthcare. He has switched over to the phone style, which I personally despise. If you can't be man enough to stand for your vote, how can you be man enough to be a leader?

It seems as if they are not getting it. Switching to phone meetings, saying that they need to talk it out, complaining that the constituents are not listening to them (got it backwards there chief).

These idiots don't get it, and furthermore don't care what the public thinks. They only want to protect their jobs, have power and obtain as many personal benefits as possible to enrich themselves and their friends.
They think "they are the smart ones" and "we are the stupid ones", maybe they're right.......why do we let them stay in power?
Vote them out!

Bill,
I would like to see all of them voted out of office. Our Congressman has gone the same route and there was a 98% against this so called health care vote on the poll he had, so he closed his local offices to all but phone calls and stated he was going to vote for it as he felt the people had to be forced to do what was right. Phrased to mean he wants another pay raise and will get it as soon as he votes whatever way they tell him to back in Washington.

These people are being bused in by lobbyist of the insurance industry, if all you can do is say no, and don't want to be a part of the discussion, we only need 50% to pass it, and just as with Medicare it will get rammed down your throat for the countries own good. And the red dogs will lose there seats!

Bill, if all you can do is say no, and don't want to be a part of the discussion,
I am not quite sure just who or what you mean by that statement. I have sent so many e-mails and made so many phone calls to my Senators and Representatives they now know me by name. At least the flunkies who take the calls and read the e-mails do. I guess it really doesn't matter any more anyway as all Congress will amount to is a rubber stamp for whatever they are told to do. All of the Czars will have the power to make and enforce their own laws and they answer only to the Great One. I was just reading on one of the news sites where Congress is going to pass the so called Health Bill without any Republican input and they are going to try and make it a one party Govt. Just like Stalin and the Soviet Union.

Well I don't believe it will ever be a one party government, nor is that a good thing, but the fringe element of the right wing has taken over that party and it will go down in near future, like the wigs did, I guess the green party will have to step in, and if the dems don't get their act together, I will be voting for another party next time, but it will never again be the republican party I ever vote for.

I don't understand comments like that. It is completely closed minded and prevents progress. I don't like Obama (I think he is a curse on this country), I didn't like Kerry or Gore. I was not a fan of Clinton either (Served in his military), but I have never said and will not say that I will never vote for another Democrat. Put up a democrat that is not a left wing nut I will vote for him. Put up a Republican that is not a Right wing nut, I will vote for him. The comments that you say about the republicans are true to the opposite for the Dems. Every last one of them in there now is there to serve themselves.

That may be so as far as being self serving, and if they are not for the people, and are for the corporations, they will be gone next election cycle, it's like with healthcare, everyone of the republicans have taken money from the insurance and pharmaceutical companies, and the democrats that have are all the so called blue dogs, we are watching them all and if they are not for the people but for the corporations we will know and they will be gone! I'm not that worried about Obama, no one president has that much power as to endanger the country, its far more important to watch who is really in charge, and trust me it's not the elected officials! Its way more sinister then you can imagine, but it can still be taken back, it's not too late.
