Update: 8/16/09
Thanks to all of you who have followed Season 1 of “Kit..an Autobody Experience”
Each build was a learning experience in itself as you saw 4 different builds done by 4 different
builders. Some of you shared concerns over how the builds were presented and we took that to
heart. If you followed us through to the end of “Season 1” you saw how we tried to improve
this.
Season 1 is currently being re-run by SPEED throughout the summer and I hope you will
continue to watch. However the numbers of viewers that watched the show over it’s 13 episode
run, didn’t seem to warrant the network execs to pick us up for a second season. Now, we
know that many of you DVR’d the show. Unfortunately this doesn’t figure into the Neilsen
Ratings. So we are researching different network options to see if it can be picked up
elsewhere. Stay Tuned! If you feel strongly enough about the show, feel free to start a
ground swell and let SPEED know with a polite email. Perhaps minds can be changed.
As we are now done with the season, we are preparing to sell off the cars built for the show.
Our first build, the yellow GT will be appearing on Ebay Autos in the next few days.
This will be a great opportunity to get a turn-key that was built by it’s designer and is fully
documented on video for the TV series.
The Cobra and 34 will be sold as well. However the Stepside Truck remained with Don Fuselier
and is not for sale, however kits can be found on his site.
Some of you expressed a desire to buy Season 1 on DVD. If you are still interested, please
email us from the website and I can contact you.
I look forward to any feedback you may have! Keep up with the latest kit news and find
yourself a copy of Kit Car Builder Magazine available at finer newstands everywhere.
Plus don’t forget some Sea Foam for the powerplant!
Till then,
Have a great rest of the summer and don’t stop dreaming, building and driving!
