ERA #665 is Alive! (Movie)
Hey Guys,
I have driven my car! Just around the neighborhood, no tags or many other useful things yet, but couldn't resist the urge to try it out.
It's running like crap at the moment, running on the secondaries and just timed by ear, but it still sounds pretty good.
The tail pipes didn't fit so I'm just running dumps after the mufflers for the moment.

The movie is about 15 megs so if you have dialup it probably isn't worth the wait.
Take Care, Chuck

Now that you have it running you won't want to do anything else to it because you'll be too busy driving it around. I am using wire to hold up my sidepipes until I get around to getting them welded!
The fun begins!

Congrats Chuck! I have been following your build for a while now and I know how rewarding it must be to have the car running. There is nothing like satisfaction of building a car yourself. Good job on your build website too.
BTW - your car sounds mean even if you do say it is running like crap! Get her tuned up and we will see you at the track this spring.

Chuck,
Congratulations! Pretty good feeling, huh? My first drive was awesome.... no doors, no seats, no trunk lid, no hood....... just the sound of that big block idling around the neighborhood!!! What a rush!!!!!!!
Again, congrats!

Congratulations! I know the excitement you must be feeling. When I first started mine, it dumped gas everywhere, bured a wire (or two) and blew something our of the side pipe... but I just could not wait to drive it around the block either.

Thanks
Thanks Gary. It looks like about 5" clearance, just a bit below the frame, maybe 3/4". Seems adequate.
