When my midstates was built in 1992, the harness was custom made for the vehicle(not like rollers delivered today). You may have to ask the builder if he made a schematic.

You have to recall that things in the kit business were way different back then. Most folks actually built the cars, rather than buying a completed roller.

BTW Bob Kallio is still in charge of the Midstates portion of the business (now owned by Shell Valley) and can be reached by phone at Midstates.

Default New Mexico cobras !

Hi Oranjevan,
My Midstates was built in Santa Fe in 1989- No idea who the original builder was-- Really decent build- EXCEPT for one tiny thing-EVERY WIRE IN THE ENTIRE CAR IS YELLOW ! And no diagram or numbers on the wires. Trouble shooting is a week long event. I've owned it for going on nine years now and have gotten most of it sorted out. I wonder if the same guy built both of them. The previous owner of mine said the guy built two of them.

I am the 3rd owner of my Midstates and it was originally purchased in '87, the 2nd owner actually built the car and the harness he used was from a company called Perfect Performance Products which is now better known as Painless. That harness had a set of schematics but they were not laid out for the Cobra. It was for a generic hot rod. I contacted Painless to see if they had anything better in their archives but we had no success. The harness number is DSM-301. If you can determine if you have the same item as we do, we would be will to provide you with copies of what we have, such that it is. I will tell you that the harness is designed around using a GM steering column wiring design, so if you don't have that column, this most likely won't work for you.
