Default For the Midstates folks- ? on seats

My Midstates has the standand offered fiberglass buckets and am not crazy about them for comfort, etc. If you used something different, please tell me what you installed and how you like them.

Default Midstates seats

Hi. I'm just finishing up a Midstates that the previous owner started in 1994. I just bolted the seats in two weeks ago. I think I'll be happy with them but they leave some to be desired. Since I'm 6'2" I bolted them to the floor/frame/crossmember. I found that adding a 2-3 inch tube of rolled up thin carpet under the front of the seat cushion gives me more support at the back of my legs and makes the seat feel much more comfortable. I'll let you know how they feel on the road...soon I hope.

Mine uses seats from an MG, I think? They have sliders and the backrest reclines. They are comfortable.

Mike,
Take it to an upholstery shop and see if they can do a custom cover the would have more padding in the correct places for you.
While you are at it PUT SOME BELTS IN THAT THING.
