Default MHCC Road trip

Every year, the Mile Hi Cobra Club takes a three day trip to Grand Lake, CO. It's a great destination, and a nice place to hang out for a few days. We don't do anything special, except goof off and tell jokes. It's the trip I look foreward to every year; sort of the last trip of the summer.

The plan was to meet in Morrison, CO, at 0815. Some of us had to leave the house by 0530 - and we know what the "0" stands for.... Next year we need to move that back an hour or two. Yeah, two, that sounds better.

From there we take a leisurly drive through the back roads, up the mountain passes, over the river and through the woods. We eventually end up in Grand Lake, the headwaters of the Colorado River.

If you know where to look, you can see the marina, and out hotel next to that.

Some people had trouble reading road signs along the way

Saturday morning dawned crystal clear, calm, and cold. It was so quiet you could hear a bird flapping it's wings above you. It was a little cold, though. That is frost on the cars.

ater in the day, we took a short drive to explore some of the local housing areas. We found this little family in some one's front yard. We were parked only 10 feet from momma

We have to give thanx to Mike and Jane for setting all this up for us.

The cars are what bring us together. But the people are what makes it fun.
