Default Mile Hi Cobra Club Christmas Party and Annual Meeting

So, you who did not make it to the Christmas Party (And a couple of us who did) are asking "What did those crazy Cobra Club people do for the party?" We did take some pictures and they will be on the web site soon. 56 of us had a wonderful time. Got a semi private room at the Traildust for a very good dinner. Had a chance to meet lots of new people. Also a chance to reminisce the last year and all the fun we have had on our events. Got a chance to discuss how many times Dick's car broke down and what he should do this winter. Thanks for all the advise. The Marines came and picked up the Toy's for Tot's. We did an excellent job again this year with gifts and the Marines thank us for our support. We had great door prizes furnished for everyone who came this year. The sponsors were Tony Branda, Finish Line, Melson Motorsports, Kit Car Builder Magazine, Kit Car Magazine, Mile Hi Cobra Club and THE RIPCORDS. (For those of you who did not get a Ripcords CD, check out www.RipChords.net ) Thank you to all the sponsors and please be sure to thank them if you won one of their prizes.

By the way, check out the web site. www.milehicobraclub.com Gary Patrick and Keith Hall are getting it up and running again. A huge thank you to Tom Toledo and Scott Piper for their help also on the site. We will have the best site around soon.

Next event to plan on is the annual meeting. Jan 17, 2004. 9:00AM at EchoStar on South Santa Fe (5701 S.Santa Fe Blvd. Enter from Santa Fe on Church St. Go to the gate, press the intercom and tell the guard you are with the car club. After going through the dirt parking lot, go left toward the detached building. The meeting will be in this detached building on the far South end of the campus.) Coffee and Donuts will be provided by LaMars Donuts. We will be collecting dues for 2004 so bring check or cash. $35. We will also be electing officers for 2004. If you have always wanted to be an officer, now is your chance. Officers are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Let me or any board member know if you wish to run for office. We would like all Candidates to supply us with a short paragraph about them selves prior to the meeting. The current officers (Dick Thompson, Gary and JoAnne Patrick and Scott and Karen Piper) have agreed to run again for 2004. If you do not want to be an officer, but would like to volunteer, please let us know this also. We will be discussing what we did this last year that worked as well as what we did that did not work well. Bring ideas to make this club even better. What do you like to do with your car and how can we help?

Dick Thompson
