August 29th the "Not so Payneful Squaw Pass Skidaddle".
We think you will enjoy this delightful drive, however it is not designed for the lead foot. Bring your camera as there are some spectacular views of our nearby foothills.
The meeting place will be the Albertson's shopping center at C-470 &Kipling. Meeting time will be 8:45 so we can leave around 9 am.
We will drive up several colorful canyons with a photo opportunity at enchanting Evergreen Lake & plan to arrive at El Rancho for a Breakfast Buffet by 10:00 am. We will need to know attendance numbers by Monday, August 23rd for the El Rancho people. The Breakfast Buffet is $11.95 &includes the following: omelet station, Belgium waffles, French toast, breakfast pastries, cereals, ranch hand potatoes, bacon &sausage, biscuits &gravy, eggs Benedict &fresh fruit.
After breakfast we will eagerly elevate the group up to Echo Lake, saunter down the Squaw Pass Road and boogie into Bergen Park. From there we will leisurely leap down Lookout Mountain's Lariat Loop to glorious Golden to imbibe on bodacious beverages or contagious confections.
