Default wipers in Minnesota?

I'm wondering what the law is in Minnesota regarding windshield wipers. I was hoping I wouldn't need any. (touring motorcycles don't have them afterall!). What's the law?

If I need wipers, will "Davis Garage Special" wipers do (some sort of manual wiper thingy I fabricate myself to get past ), or will I need working electric wipers that I clip on the windshield?

Thanks guys,

MikeD

I originally thought the same thing... I'm not sure about the legal side of it but I have been caught in brief passing rain showers when I've been glad I've had them.

Minnesota does require wipers. The law says when it rains lights and wipers must be on. I'm sure nobody would bother you if you didn't put them on. The street rodders have a neat trick. They take the arms off and put a nice chrome or billet cover over the post. If they need them it's easy to put them back on.
