Hi Guys!
Looks like I found a new home!
Hope there is room for another gear-head around here...

Hey Randy,
The more gear heads the merrier. Is that your yellow Cobra on the ASPerformance website? Looks great. I just hope it doesn't clash with my yellow Cobra.

Hi Dave,
Things are going pretty well between having the equivalent of 2 full time jobs - I am finally getting ahead of the bill collectors.
Projects:
* Minor upgrades and repairs on my FFR Spec Racer.
* Working on putting on a new convertible top on my 87 VW Cabriolet (I've never done a soft top before - this should be interesting) so I can sell it in the spring.
* Finished building the new engine for my 69 Camaro SS - just need to find another tranny so I can put the "Number's Matching" engine and tranny away in the corner to preserve the value of the car.
* I've got another customer Cobra to work on - building a 450hp 351w stroker, installing fuel cell and new dash - It's an FFR.
* Repairing body and light frame damage to Ken's FFR Spec Racer.
Oops - I can't forget about all the household stuff - new Bathroom floor, new tub and surround - walls - etc.. Of course lots of mirrors to make the missus happy you know..
How about you?

Big-Foot
Randy
Now that Cobra looks great. We have one over here that runs a flag across the bonnet/hood.
Sure would look good on the track there.

Thanks Bernie!
Jack - my updated email address is not on the website yet (gotta get that updated one of these days)..
New email address is ASPerformance @ mn.rr.com (take the spaces out on either side of the "@"...
The phone number is not current either. That's what happens when you move and change ISP's...

Thanks Mike... This looks like a nice place to hang out. I think I'll be here a while!
Hotfingrs / Jack - I did get your email. I will try to get to it before I leave town tonight - otherwis it will be Sunday or Monday. Meanwhile do NOT run your engine above 1450* EGT absolute MAX or you will cause major damage to your pistons, rings and cylinders... I prefer to limit EGT to 1300-1350 unless it's in a drag car where we can hit 1400 for just a couple of seconds.

I'm at about 450 then the NOS on top..
Randy
If you get a moment..
What are the specs on the 351w stroker you are building - 450HP.
Fits my profile - just curious.. ...then I put the NOS on..

Hi Bernie,
Current plan is;
392 - 10.3:1 compression, AFR205 CNC heads, Edelbrock RPM Airgap, Holley 800 DP, Comp Cams custom roller cam .570ish 112ish CL. We could get into the 500hp range with a bigger cam and more head, but would sacrifice streetability which I don't want to do..

Hi Alan,
This forum works pretty good! A lot of different areas so it seems like the range of topics is good, but since the forums are more specialized, staying "On-Topic" might be a bit of a challenge for folks like me.. I'm doing my best however!
Post your pic over here if you will - I'm not going back to the other place any time soon. It's just not going to work out there...
Thanks Alan - I hope things are going well for you!
