Kirkham Diecast ?
Have the Kirkhams considered having a diecast company replicate their cars ?
Maybe they can't because of licensing the trademark or similar legalities ?

Not diecast, but I'll bet that somewhere in his head is a billet "matchbox size" model of his full size creations.

kobra--Very nice, but I like the 1:18 scale...., so I can actually see it. lol
Billet would cater to their cars. How about their copper cobra. lol

Take a nice Kyosho or other brand 1/18 scale SC Cobra of your liking, take it apart, strip the paint and repaint it with Model Masters Metalizer Lacquer. That should give you a nice, unpainted Kirkham Cobra in scale for your collection.

Some day Sandwich will get bored and start milling one out of billet..........now that would be a 1/18 scale worth purchasing

No company is going to make a model of a replica of a production car unless the replica manufacturer specifically commissions it to do so.
Having said that, the Franklin Mint Cobras in REal brushed aluminum are about the closest thing you'll find unless you customise a regular Cobra die cast model yourself.
EDIT TO ADD: If the Kirkhams themselves set the skunkworks sights on a precision model of a Cobra (or a Kirkham), based on everything else they create, it would be a model that would set a new high standard for the hobby/collector industry.

I sorta made one of the Franklin Mint's into my car. I sorta liked using a Shelby to replicate a Kirkham. Lends a certain panache (panoche?) to it.

Kirkham made a Cobra replica with a diecast frame
only it was 1:1. Yes, life size. A rootin' tootin' replica that went way way beyond common sense. It was for a multi billionaire.
I heard that he had a beautiful book done on it (with polished aluminum covers naturlich) but I can't find the website that shows the book. The billionaire's daughter is a movie mogul, buying up Hollywood.

I guess the closest I'll get is my Franklin Mint's. The last one is from Kyosho.
I have several more detail pics if you want to see them. The Kirkhams need to have theirs made.
