Ct Cobra Picnic
Hello everyone.
This event is also posted on the FFR forum.
Yes, the Cobra Bash is on again this year!
Note: Location Change!!!
The Bash will be hosted by Dave Cowin and Carl Johnson and will take place at Carl’s house in Danbury, CT.
All Cobra folks are welcome and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey. If you own a Cobra, are in the process of building one or just want to see some nice cars, please stop by. There will be plenty of parking for Cobras and other vehicles.
****Note: This will be a “Shine” event only and there is no rain date. Feel free to call on the day of the party if in doubt.
Date: Saturday, August 14, 2010
Time: 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.
Here’s the Plan:
Party at Carl’s from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. then a Cobra Caravan to the Saturday Night Cruise-In at Marcus Dairy in Danbury (3 miles away). Imagine the looks we’ll get when we roll in with all the Cobras!
There will be burgers, hot dogs and refreshments. Bring something if you’d like and it’s O.K. if you don’t.
Carl’s address is 22 Long Ridge Rd---Danbury CT 06810
Use Mapquest to get there. (note some GPS systems do not show our address 100% accurate)
From the South end of Main St in Danbury, go right on South St, Left on Mountainville Ave, bear left (it is pretty much straight) onto Mountainville Rd go right onto Long Ridge Rd, approx ½ mile.
We will put up some signs too.
If you get lost, call us at 203-778-5186.
Please RSVP by sending Dave or Carl an e-mail as soon as you can so we can plan for the right number of hot dogs.
The more the merrier so please put this on your calendar and tell your friends. This is always a great time. Let’s do this.

Awesome to see some fellow New Englanders! I'm Brand new to the site (as a member). I'm in persuit of my first Cobra and I am really excited to be able to talk to the pro's (you guys) with questions I'll have. I'll be heading out on some military orders around the end of the month but I'd love to meet up with some of you at a local cruise night or something in the future.

Yes, I can tell you all about it. I will PM you my phone number and we can talk about it. Very very easy if you are buying a already CT registered cobra.

Have to catch up with you guys at Marcus. Did anyone call ahead and ask them to hold the "club parking area"?

Jay,
Yup, I took care of it with Mark "smokey" Mastrioanni, the Marcus dairy cruise director.

Thanx for the invite, unfortunately my mission ran long and I was stuck in Ramstein on that day.
