" There will be racing Memorial Day weekend at historic Lime Rock Park in northwestern CT, but for the first time there will not be public racing on Memorial Day. Call it a sign of the times. The Trans Am series, which was a Memorial Day trademark, will only be held at the track this Saturday. And track owner Skip Barber said the Grand-Am series, also held on Memorial Day, wanted to be moved to September. Attempts to fill the date with other series came too late, so for the first time, the Lime Rock Park track will be silent on Memorial Day this year. Races will be held on Friday and Saturday."
