INVITED: As always we welcome all "Cobra" replica brands and kits as well as GT40 and Daytona Coupe style cars. There are other drives for wider groups of cars but we want to remain with this focus.
DETAILS: A successful event this year given the route and plan will payoff in the future and will get us track involvement, but late developments prevented the big payoff for this year. We have teamed up with Lime Rock Park to cover the first 40 wristbands for entry on Saturday into the park during SCCA Runoffs. If the 40 wristbands are consumed it will be $15 a person at the gate. At Lime Rock we will have priority parking near the Midway and will have use of the facilities and concession stands for Lunch.
SCHEDULE:
9:30AM - All cars participating to arrive at Vintage Motorsports by this time - Coffee & Donuts
10:00AM - Checkpoint A - Group departs Vintage Motorsports
11:00PM - Checkpoint B - Commuter lot near exit if anyone wants to join up
11:15PM - Checkpoint C - We usually pull off side of road here to let everyone catchup from the difficult intersection
11:45PM - Checkpoint D - Fuel Stop only, restrooms at next stop
12:30PM - Checkpoint E - Arrive at Lime Rock Park for lunch, restrooms, and to watch some racing
2:00PM - Leave Lime Rock Park
2:15PM - Checkpoint F - Cross Covered Bridge (not stopping this year)
3:00PM - Checkpoint G - No event, just a marker
3:30PM - Checkpoint H - No event, just a marker
4:30PM - Checkpoint I - Arrive at Vintage Motorsports
May have a nice opportunity with the drive. That would alter the course. Can I get an informal list of those who are planning to attend on the 21st of September?
Any chance of actually driving the Bear Mt Road this time? Just drive down rt 9 to the traffic circle and then up the "BEAR MT ROAD" (Rt 6) to the Bear MT bridge. It's no farther then driving down rt 9D to the bridge... But a great road to cruise on...
All,
very sorry for lack of updates here and finalization of plans. Have been extremely tied up with the business and currently battling the effects of getting run down.
I will have route posted and all details by saturday evening.
Have to scale the event back this year as our schedules here are packed full.
The route will be similar to last year and not the bear mountain, ny due to this. Sorry ny nj guys...
