Default why so dull?

As a native New Englander, I'm a bit dissapointed with the lack of activity in this Forum.

Too many FFR's in the area?

Cable Guy:

Not much goin' on here cuz it's winter. I, myself, am experiencing the mid-winter-horsepower-withdrawal blues. It'll pick up once drivin' weather gets here, and we have something to talk about.

Default Whaaaa??????

Cable Guy....Nice way to make yer first post and introduce yourself!

I suspect one of two things.....

1) Those that have mechanical abilities are busy tweeking or building their cars this time of year. FFRs included.

2) Those that are not mechanical are sitting in their armchairs waiting to write a check.

Either way, I think most of us that experience winter (exclude left coasters and msouthern folks) are in the doldrums right now.

As far as yer comments go with over 4000 members and lots of activity, I don't really know what your point is.

Talking John McMahon

Don't forget those of us who HAVE mechanical ability, but want someone else to "bust their knuckles" so we write the check and have a beer while we wait for our turnkeys

I am currently restoring my 1974 scout 2 in my garage, but it's all the mechanical work I want for this decade

Default Back in Black....

I hear ya.....the armchair bit is sounding better and better.
I think I'm done building cars with this one.

If I get a Kirkham Slab Side, it will be by sitting in a chair writing that check! I just don't have the time anymore.

My apoligies to those I've offended.

I was simply referring to the lack of activity in the "New England Club Forum". (9 Posts in the last ten months) Very low compared to most other Forum Clubs.

The FFR comment was a sarcastic shot at the few people here who look down on them (Myself NOT included) combined with the fact that they happen to be based here in Mass.

I believe most of you , not from NE, thought I was commenting on Club Cobra as a whole. To the contrary, Club Cobra has been a vital companion in my quest to get my first Cobra.
You all have provided a wealth of valuable information that I otherwise would not have had the time to obtain.
Your eagerness to help others like me is comendable.

MY EM should be done this spring, would like to see us New Englanders get more involved.

Thumbs up

You iz okay by me. Sounds like you're going to have a fantastic car! You're officially invited to the weekly Saturday a.m. breakfast of the Bay Area Cobra Club at Athens Restaurant in Dublin, CA!!! (You'll need to get up extra early, well, actually, about three or four days early, but we're such a swell bunch of clowns you'll be glad you made the trip!)

Best regards,

TT

Hey Cable Guy,

I moved here to Norcal from Concord/Carlisle, Mass in 1986. Right now I am on my 2nd and 3rd Cobra. Drove my SPF this morning to a 7:30 breakfast/business meeting and to a lunch meeting this afternoon.

I know the feeling of the New England Jan/Feb/Mar winter Blahs

Didn't like it in New Hampshire before we moved to Concord , didn't like it in Concord and I'm here in California to stay.

Good thoughts your way...Spring is coming,

Tony R.

Well, first of all you missed out on the christmas party that I held for all cobra owners. 2. You missed out on the "status of my Daytona build" party that 42 other NE snake owners attended. We have a Chowderfest coming this summer on July 13th.

cableguy:

looks like you and i had similar thoughts about what semed to be lack of interest in group type get togethers in the new england area.

much to hank dondero's efforts to have some activity, he had a nice get together last spring in marlboro at his house that was well attended...maybe some one will have a similar event sometime soon since the weather sems to be conducive to getting out in the cobra now.

i noticed that there are at least two more SPF owners in the area as evidenced by their joining SCOF ercently.
