Lime Rock on Saturday (6-29-2002)
Hey Guys:
There is a public drivers' ed event going on this Saturday at Lime Rock. Does anybody out there want to cruise up there for lunch and amusement? They have decent food and nice areas for viewing. The weather is predicted to be sunny and dry. Getting there is half the fun, many the roads in the area are smooth, fast, windy, and free of lights and stop signs!

Possibly
Bob,
I have a though choice:
Planed to go to Lebanon Valley Dragway to run the car,
but does the drivers ed include any track time?
I would be very interested in car control, and track driving.
I have a lot to learn.
Thanks

It's sold out!
The day would be the drive there, lunch, watch and drive home.

Bob,
Did you go to LRP? I am on call again for the next two weekends. Let me know if there is anything going on the weekend of July 13-14.
I am going back to LRP on 7/15 for lapping session with Skip Barber School(their cars not mine).

Hey Stu:
There was no interest (there never is) so I did some plumbing on my furnace, mowed the lawn, fixed the washer and went to a big show at the beach in West Haven. Lots of cars and lots of people (1 Cobra).
Matthew is taking a Skip 3 day at the end of July ( I told him if he made honor roll I would treat him). I'm not sure when I will race again. Mont Tremblant is sold out, and I'm not sure what the status is for Lime Rock for July and August.

Sorry guys,
I went to Lebanon Valley Dragway yesterday.
My hearing is just starting to come back.
2 hours each way at 3200rpms with an 80mph wind
gets pretty hard on the ear-drums.
Nice day for the ride and rt20 is great.
The BFG's did aweful in the 1/4 mile.
This was my first time in a 1/4 mile drag, so
I did pretty poorly. Not to embarrased to admit it.
Best I could do was 12.7.
For some reason, the Richmond is giving me a hard time
when shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3 to 4th under
high rpms. (5000+)
Aslo if I hold the clutch pedal down for more than
15 seconds(like at the x-mas tree)
the clutch slowly fads and loses pressure and I can't
get in or out of gear until I pump it back up.
Oh well time to trouble shoot.
