Default Snakepit Racing Freeport Long Island

I was able to get to Carlisle Pa. and talked with the owner of Snakepit Racing. Seem to be nice enough but salesmen are always that way until they get your money. Anybody have any experience dealing with them.

Bill and Dan are top shelf guys! They treat everyone well regardless of what they own or where they bought it. Show up on Saturday mornings and you will see what I mean.

Thank you for your imput. I am planning a trip down there in June. I would have been there on a Saturday if it didn't take me 5 hours to get there. One hour boat ride, rent a car and drive almost 4 hours.
Didn't you have a car for sale? What? Why?
Cobra weather today. Warm SW Breeze, Bright Sun.
I hooked up with a ERA guy in Hyannis MA and will be going to a show on Fathers' day. Hope to see some SPF and talk with there owners.
Thanks again !

The Show is in Hyannis MA on Sunday, June 15th 9am to 3pm. They block off the main street for the cars. I would love to see #1049.

The Hyannis Chamber hosts the event.
Main Street is blocked off at seven am and you are parked in the order that you arrive in, 350 car limit. This is the first year that they did sell out. 35 Awards judged by Local Officals( Fire Chief, Police Chief, Selectmen, etc.) there is also a peoples choice award. The show is from 9 to 2. Chamber # 508 362-5230 ask for Jenny in the Administration Offices for more information. Maybe you can wiggle your way in, I would love to see your car and talk to you before I buy my SPF.

Come anyway and we will have our own show in the North Street Parking Lot.
I am going down to Freeport next weekend to have a look see at a demo Bill has with a stroker in it.
I would love to know your experience with Snakepit Automotive.

Gordon,

I live in Mashpee south of the Commons. And when it stops raining, I'd like to put some miles on the car. I haven't been to the canal show, but another cobra owner has told me about it and will try to go next week.

I wanted to add to your things to do list, with your car.
August 16-17th Fun Ford Weekend drag racing festival @ New England Dragway Epping NH around a two hour drive. Contact MA/NH FFROGs (508)291-3443 That is a factory Five event but they don't care if you bring a SPF.

Gordon and Rick, I'm in Mashpee also with the Blue/Wht FFR 2580.
Rick, was it you I met at the end of the Hyannis show, your wife thought she'd seen our car around town? Steve Sheftel and Pat (last name??), Tim (dark blue ERA FIA) I'm sure would also love to get together for a cruise here in the Cape area. Let me know mail if interested. Jack

Thumbs up Freeport Trip 6/21/03

Wow ! 20 cars in inventory about 14 for sale, big place. Rain, terrible day but the Cobra nuts were there. I could not buy the demo which I liked. It was to much money for a used one with some belms that I could not live with. I have decided that there are to many good used ones for sale right now. I am going to try to avoid the intial depreciation.

Hi Rick, sure, let's pick a few dates and see what works. I'm around for the long 4th weekend and every other weekend for most of the summer after that. We could also gather a few of us together for a cruise on Tuesday night to the Bourne Regional show held each week. Maybe catch some dinner afterwards. BTW, I saw a green/gold striped cobra here on Putnam Rd in Cotuit on the way to work this afternoon. Any idea whose that might be? Pat and I have met on a couple occasions here and there. Here's a pic of FFR2580 at Loop Beach in Cotuit...

Hi Jack,

I saw that green car at the show in Hyannis, but I haven't met the owner. I saw someone else in Falmouth Heights last night, it was getting dark so I'm not sure if it was a gray or blue car with white stripes. I'm booked on the weekends thru Labor Day-I have a boat, but the Tuesday night show and dinner sounds great. How about July 8th?

Rick
