Default The day finally came!!

Today, I am a proud owner of a registerred, street legal Midstates Cobra. It has been almost a year for the buiding process and all the fun associated with the completion of a Cobra. I am glad to see that there is still some summer and warm days left this year to enjoy the thrill of driving this car.

I hope to participate in some cruises here in CT shortly and meet local cobra owners.

Default Congrats!

Although I did not directly build mine - I did so much to it that required down time it felt as though I did and the feeling is awesome - enjoy!

Congrats, I just received mine from southern CA on the 28th of July. it needs paint and final assembly. Can't wait for Spring. Would like to hook up at that time for a cruise. I live in western MA.

There are some spectacular drives in Western Mass. Keep me posted on your progress so when the time comes, a drive through the Birkshires would be in order.

Good luck. and enjoy the build experience, there's nothing like it.

Now if we can retrofit pontoons instead of wheels we may actually get to drive our cars one day.

Bob in CT:

The reason I pushed so hard to get the car done was (I may be wrong) seeing a spf with your colors (your photo gallery) on the Merrit Parkway in the spring. I think that you got off onto either rt25 or 127, but that really pushed my adrenaline. It may not have been yours, but either way, I am finally on the road.

The last week has not been the week for driving with all this rain, however, I have been going out around the block in between the raindrops.

Thanks for the inspiration ( like I needed any more)

Stush:

Redding is so close, I can probably hear your car start up.

Hey Gene:
We were going to the cruise night in Monroe. Was the plate "COBRA"?

gfridland,

Excuse me for interupting but every time I see a new owner post on this site I get to replay my excitement and enthusiasm I had when I first finished mine. Just an FYI: After almost 4 years the excitement is still there. I always get a rush everytime I turn the key and hear the snake come to life with that rumpty rump sound in stereo.

I hope you have plenty of blue skies and mild temps to enjoy your new ride.

Clois

Thanks Clois, I can't wait to finally not have to worry about the weather while going for a cruise. Next week, it may be dry one or two days, unfortunately work gets in the way of daytime enjoyment.

There is nothing like the sound in 2nd & 3rd gears.

Oh yeah! And the sound of those pipes relaxing as we exit to an off ramp. I love these things, have fun Gene.

Hey Gene:
I find the cruise nights in BargainNews. Go to www.bargainnews.com then go to "Special Interest Vehicles", then go to "best shows", then go to "Connecticut".

There is a terrific show at Lime Rock on the Sunday before Labor Day, lots of Cobras. This year I think it's on the 30th. If you're interested maybe some of us can caravan up there together (assuming good weather). Marcus Dairy also has a nice cruise on Saturday nights.

Bob
