Default Lime Rock on 8-31-03, Who's going?

Hey Guys:
I just (Saturday Morning) got the weather forecast for tomorrow and it's looking clear for the SAAC show at Lime Rock. That being said, who's going?

If you're going up Route 8, I would recommend the following route. Take Route 254 in Thomaston to Litchfield, Route 63 north to 126, go south on Route 7 and follow the signs to Lime Rock. The route goes up and down and back and forth through some beautiful country. There are only a couple of lights the whole way and the surface is in great shape. Although I would not exceed the posted 50 MPH, I'm sure higher speeds are possible, especially early in the day (be aware of troopers).

Do not go home via this route since the Goshen fair will generate heavy traffic going into Litchfield.

If anyone wants to convoy up let me know.

Bob

Has anyone been to Limerock for this event before? Is it worth making the trip? How many Cobras can I expect to see? Howabout the other cars at the historic and antique show?

Hey Blue:
It seems like Litchfield is the hard way for you to get to LRP. The wife and I should be going through there at about 8:30 or so.

I plan on going but so far do not have a co-pilot for my CSX; it is more fun to enjoy the ride with someone. My daughter decided she would rather have a sleepover than go to the show and my backup plan ie. my brother in law fell through and to boot, my wife is not feeling well enough to make the trip. Sometimes it is hard to find people who want a ride.

As to the question of what kind of turn out to expect. Depends on the weather. 2 years ago the weather was spectacular and there were probabply 2 dozen cobras, even more 350/500 GT, Sunbeam Tigers, Boss 302's and then a great collection great cars on the front straight.
