enduro-karting
Anyone going to try the enduro-karting at Lime Rock in October?
See email below:
Thank you for contacting us.
Yes, there is still room on October 25th. I have 2 team spots and 2
individual spots (when signing up as an individual, we will pair you up
with other individuals for a 4 man team). Team cost is $1480 (as many
or few drivers as you want, recommend 3-6 drivers) and an Individual
cost (where we match you up with teammates) is $385.
The majority of our racers are novice racers, so no need to worry about
your skill level. The majority of our participants also rent gear from
us. We can outfit over 100 participants with Helmet ($10), Suit ($10),
Gloves ($5) and Neck Collar ($5).
Please call with any questions.
Thanks,
Karen Schwartz

Todd-
Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I was wondering if you know the K&N part # for the Xtreme filter that you have. I've been looking for one that will fit in the turkey pan, but haven't been able to find it.
Thanks,
Mike

K&N Filter number
Chaplin,
I'll have to dig that info up.
I know it wasn't easy to find a single source for the whole package.
1) I had to buy separately the 9" filter and 9" top.
2) I had to buy a cheap 9" chrome filter and base from
Advanced Auto Parts for the "drop" base to lower the
assembly for clearance under the hood.
I will let you know ASAP.

Thanks Todd. I am looking into coming up on the 18th. I have already made other plans that I am trying to get out of.
I will be up with the BMW Club on Saturday the 25th with my 968 on the long course at Lime Rock.

K&N Part Number
Chaplin,
Finally found the part number:
I went on line to K&N's website, looked under suppliers
and picked one.
The part number is 66-3150 for 9" Exstream Top
Good Luck
Todd

Todd-
Thank you! I'm going to place the order today.
One question though, the part number you listed is just for the top? Did that fit on top of your existing K&N filter with no problem or did you have to buy the xtreme top and bottom?
Thanks again,
Mike

The top fit the standard K&N 9" filter.
I had to by the 9"dia by 1" high filter though.
Plus I had to by a typical - chrome 9" air cleaner that had a base
that would drop down over the carb.
This I picked up at Advance Auto Parts.
I think it was around $35.00
I didn't use the filter nor the chrome top.
I just wanted the drop base.

I dont mind the topic going off subject as long as its not Evan giving a lecture on endurance karting road-racing theory that he read in a history book.
