Famous 50's Northeast Nationals

Hey my NE Friends,

Below is a message I posted on the Tri States forum. If any of you guys are interested, let me know.

Hi Guys,

I just spoke with John Stage, the President of the Famous 50's Rod & Custom Club and he invited us to their annual Northeast National Car Show. The show is held in Ellenville, NY (about a half hour south of Kingston, NY) at the Nevele Grand Hotel. The event takes place from June 17th to June 20th and they have anywhere from a few hundred to a thousand Rods & Customs.

John told me that if we can get a group of 8 to 10 Cobras to come to the show he will place us in a separate judging group. He said that he would also place us at an indoor location. They have the majority of the show outdoors on the grass but they have a few indoor areas such as the pavilion or the indoor tennis courts. He also said that he would put up a mock street sign that would say something like "Cobra Lane" or Cobra Alley"

The Nevele Grand is a huge resort in the Catskills and they have enormous accommodations with a few different buildings. Rooms start at $110.00 per night.

I think it would be a good event and I don't think we would have to be there for the entire Thursday to Sunday event. Maybe we can make it a Saturday, or a Fri/Sat or a Sat/Sun.

John is sending me some flyers and once I get them I'll scan one and try to post it here.

How about a little feedback as far as anyone interested.

By the way the event is always on Father's Day weekend; what better gift can we ask for than a cruisin and car show weekend for Father's Day?

I got more info on the Famous 50's show. John Stage sent me a letter advising that if we get a group of at least 8 Cobras, he'll set us up at an indoor covered area.

I will be attending for the entire event and some of the guys here and at the UpstateCobras club said they'll come just for the Saturday.

Attached is the Famous 50's site link to the event flyer and registration form.

Anyone who is planning on attending, please open, complete, and mail the registration form. Also, PM or e-mail me so I can get a Cobra count for John Stage. If you will attend let me know what days. It seems that a few of the guys already said they could only make it for the Saturday.

Hey Guys,

It seems that most of the guys say they can probably do the Saturday. That would work well as I'm sure that John Stage would still be willing to accommodate us as a group as long as we get 8 to 10 Cobras. He'll put us in a separate judging class and he will let us have our own area, indoors with a roof over our heads.

So if you are planning to attend for the just the Saturday or for the whole weekend, dowload the registration form and send it to John Stage with a SASE. Also, please let me know via a PM or e-mail if you are coming.
