Lightbulb SAAC Show - Manchester CT - April 18th

Hi Guys:

Just a heads up. The Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC) will be holding their first car show of the 2004 season on Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Manchester, CT. 9 Am till 4 PM.

SAAC New England Region is hosting their Spring Show at Mustangs Unlimited, 185 Adams Street, 06040. Rain date May 2nd.

Manchester is a town Northeast of Hartford along Interstate 84.
There will be loads of Shelby Mustangs and perhaps a few authentic and original Cobras there as well.

From Interstate 84 Eastbound:
Take exit 62.
At the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Buckland St.
Buckland becomes Adams.
Mustangs Unlimited is on the Left about 1 mile from the exit.

From Interstate 84 Westbound:
Take exit 62.
At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Pleasant Valley Road.
At the Traffic Light turn right onto Buckland Street.
Buckland becomes Adams.
Mustangs Unlimited is on the Left about 1 mile from the exit.

If you look in the back pages of the Mustangs Unlimited Catalog you will see maps to their Manchester, CT facility.

For more information call Carl Gagnon (The SAAC NE Regional Director) at (860) 623-1366

email: saacner@snet.net

Who will be there? Mass NECE's, this is not too far for you!

Also, keep in mind the NECE WPRL 4th Annual Rod and Custom show on April 10th in West Haven, CT.

Everything depends on the weather for both this Saturday and the 18th.
I just hope it warms up early in the morning. Have been out in mid 40's and it was dam cold for a ride. To cold to drive and hour to W. Haven. Hopefully it will be nicer for the 18th which is closer to me.

Hi Joe:
The weather report for Saturday keeps getting better and better. Highs in the mid 50's now. Wear a turtleneck and driving gloves! See ya there.

The weather is supposed to be warm and dry on Sunday. Who is planning on attending this event?

I will be soaking in the surf in The Bahamas w/ the family. Sounds like it will be a good show in Manchester. I hope the weather complies.

Well it was a pretty nice show. Loads of nice Shelby Mustangs as well as Saleens...

About 9 Cobras there during the day....

Present were:

REDSC400 - ERA
ERA427TP - ERA
BOB IN CT - Superformance
MACOBRA - Classic Roadsters
Plus a Everette Morrison from NYC
two FFRs from Mass which were very nicely built.

Later in the day another very early ERA arrived (early 80's build and 20 years young)

Thanks to SAAC and Mustangs Unlimited for the effort and work.
Well run event and nice folks in attendance.

I will post pics as time allows...

Sorry I missed talking to you at the show. Hope to meet you at future shows.

All the cobras were nice. It was a good first run for mine. Work still needs to be done. dash needs to be cleaned up, new stearing colume, etc. It was just nice to get her out on the road.

All in all a good show.
