AN ACT CONCERNING THE REGISTRATION OF REPLICA MOTOR VEHICLES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to permit a replica motor vehicle, sometimes known as a "kit car", to be registered with the same model year as that of the actual vehicle such replica most closely resembles.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit replica motor vehicles to be registered with the same model year as that of the actual vehicle such replica most closely resembles.

The bill had a public hearing. Unfortunately, there were differences
about its merit between the varying organizations and no one testifyed in
support of the bill. As a result, it did not go beyond the committee
stage. I, therefore, do not anticipate any further action.
