My hometown had their annual Christmas parade. It always shuts down about 5 miles thru the center of Quincy, and about 150 to 200K people attend the parade. Big crowd this year due to great weather. Sunny and temps about 63 ºF. Not bad for a city that has a population of about 90K people.
Of course, I had to put on my Santa suit before I left my house ...
Here I am about halfway thru the parade route.
Boy, you talk about people. It was 4 or 5 deep on both sides of the street for almost all of the 5 mile route. I kept telling everyone that the Santa on the fire engine was a fake, and I was the real one. I told them that I traded in all the reindeer for the car. Believe it or not, I was the absolute last vehicle in the parade.

The best part of the parade is all of the kids that wave. Of course, I also gave a few larger kids of the female persuasion a short ride (none were my daughter Tru!)
The second best part of the parade was all of the kids that screamed for Santa to do some burnouts. Of course, I had to oblige.
At the end of the parade, there was the judging stand ... and of course it was filled with politicians, including the mayor. So I yelled out " Hey, Mayor ... I finally found something that goes faster than my taxes". As I revved up the motor he sneered "Get out of here". So I dropped the clutch and laid a nice 30 foot slab of Goodyears ... while the crowd cheered!
