Default Magazines to Iraq and Afghaniistan ?

Is there a drop off point in North Central CT or South Central MA for dropping off magazines to be sent to Iraq and Afganistan ? I checked with the local Post Office and they were not aware of any Government program.

I did that a couple years back with a bunch of gun, guitar and car mags. I've used anysoldier.com a few times but can't remember if that's who I sent the mags with or not.

Call a local military base and talk with them. They should be able to hook you up with a local platoon.

We were sending them direct to a soldier in Bagdad until she came home last month.

A while back, they asked that you not send over any mail unless it was specifically addressed to a soldier. Mail to "any soldier" was sometimes hate mail, and our soldiers didn't need that.

When my son and nephew was over there, I sent them the magazines, and they passed them on to their units.

Agreed. That is why I suggested contacting the local base. They should be able to hook you up with a specific contact. When we were sending stuff over to our friend she was very popular on mail day because the guys all knew she would get a stack of car mags that she would hand out. It worked out well that I would recieve most of mine within a weeks time and read them real quick and get them in the mail so they were getting current stuff.
