Hi Kristen and Jay.

Donna and I wanted to thank you again for hosting such a wonderful day filled with great people, great food, and, of course, the opportunity to see and talk about some really fantastic cars. The venue was just as wonderful for the kids who hated to leave (pretty much the same as the adults ).

Thanks again for putting on this event.

Donna & Mike.

Jay...thanks for hosting a great party. Angela & I had a wonderful time.

It was a full day for us... we left our house in the early morn to go meet with Sal (Powersurge) and Lisa. We decided to take the ferry over, since Jay's picnic was about as far into Connecticut as you could go.

Sal and I drive to Orient Point, the very eastern end of Long Island's North Fork and boarded the car ferry.

Within an hour and a half, we were in New London CT...then about an hour's ride to Woodstock. Jay had the event at a park right on a lake.

The CC crew took the best spots...

I didn't take a head count, but there were at least 25 fine automobiles in attendance...

Good car talk and lots of fun all afternoon.

We packed up around 4pm and reversed our trail, back to the New London ferry (had a nice short tour of the downtown after we found the roads closed with a street fair... )

Too bad the hydrofoil didn't take cars...it would have been quicker

Leaving Connecticut...

Jay, thanks for an AWESOME time! You are a great host and a super guy. Lisa and I really enjoyed ourselves today.

Also, thanks to Ron and Angela for playing chase car, and providing great company for the trip.

Lastly, it was really nice to meet some of the other forum people. The people and cars were just out of this world there today.

Ditto, Sal...good company.

You didn't need me as a 'chase' car, though.
Sal's car is one smooth running Cobra....well behaved, ran cool in the hot weather, and just cruised along for a few hundred miles with no problems..a really, really nice ride.

To Kristen an Jay, and all the people behind the sceen who helped you. Kathy and I thank you for a very nice day. I love the sound a Ford V8 engine, but I also love the sound of a Ford Model A and was gald to see it there. It just gose to say Fords run forever. I am greatfull for the people who keep any car from the past, it can bring you back in time.
Also thanks to Cashburn you did a supper great job of the photos. My favorite is number 12. Thanks, Tom

Jay and Kristen,

Thank you both for such a great day! My wife Danielle and I had a great time along with our two sons Max and Zach.

It was also great to catch up with you Jay/Kristen along with Ron/Angela : Sal/Lisa : Mike/Donna : and Warren! My co-pilot Nick (Mickmate) also did a great job with navigation. Jay, I am sure he will replace those knobs off 3318 someday? Oops was I supposed to keep that secret.....

We did hit some of those storms on the ride back to NH. Not too worry the car did well and Nick stayed with me rather than jump in the wifes car to stay dry.

Sorry I missed Vintage Jay (Cashburn) would have been nice to meet.

Once again great day great people and great fun!

Jeff

A few of my pics...

Ron's matching Gashole pic...

Ron caught in the act of measuring the details. Jay might want to make sure all the pieces are still on his car, Ron's pockets looked fuller after we left ...

Jay's awesome original....

Jay's CSX3318 and my CSX4241 next to each other...

And some nice shots I took of my car down next to the water...

What a fantastic do! Great food, lotsa sugar in the lemonade for the big and little kids. Super diverse line up of awesome cars. Good turnout and venue. Great meeting a few faces previously only known through the net. Thanks Bentleys and all the active participants!
Overheard at a brief parting conversation........"Oh you're leaving now, you can leave now but do me a favour. Turn left so we can see you go by and JUMP on it"
What obliging guests LOL

Thanks Kristen for a really good time. Say hi to Jay. He was running around all day making sure everyone was OK and parking cars.

The park was great with the lake and all of the things for the young kids to play with while the old kids talked cars.

There were quite a few Cobras in attendance ...

and two GT40's

and it would not be a Cobra gathering without Mickmate getting some measurements off Jay's CSX. Got to get that dash layout down pat!

and I could not help taking another picture of my SPF down by the lake ...

Again - thanks Kristen and Jay for a wonderful time. I took all the back roads home and beat the thunderstorm by about 45 minutes!

Edit - deleted all non-Cobra pics to free up space in my gallery
