Exclamation 2 Get Togethers And Cruises This Weekend

Calling all Cobras...

There are 2 events and 2 great days of weather expected for this weekend ...

Saturday we would like to host a group and then make a cruise together down to Marcus Dairy in Danbury, CT.

Sunday we can host a morning get together and then as a group cruise up to Manchester, CT to the Mustangs Unlimited Spring Round Up.

Let me know what type of turnout we can expect for either day.

Thanks!

Joe,
You better make the Saturday trip or I will put the voodoo oil leak curse on your 351W with a Mild Cam.

Stop in, rumor has it a Jeep dealer in North Haven has a Venom in the showroom!

Not much response but here's the plan for Saturday:

Meet at Vintage Motorsports in Wallingford, CT at 2:00pm. We will gather and spend some time catching up etc. before heading out to Marcus Dairy. We plan to leave for the Dairy in Danbury, CT no later than 4:00pm.

That will put as at the Dairy just after 5:00pm or so, plenty early to get a good spot. We can all eat dinner there or gather at one the other local restaurants depending on the turnout.

The drive to Marcus from the shop is a nice spin that takes Rte. 15 South (through the tunnel/cannon) and gets off on Rte. 34 for some fun hills and turns along the water and over the damn dam. Finally a quick sprint on I-84 to Marcus Dairy which is right near the Danbury Airport.

As with all the Vintage Gatherings we do not have a preference for the make of your snake. If you built it, I built it, or someone else built it ... bring it over and lets have some fun.

Jay,

As of 6/9/07 at 0100 hours, Dish instant weather says the following: New Haven and Danbury CT Areas both have showers indicated and aprox mid 70 degrees.

But this is New England anything can happen. I'll should still make it to your place tomorrow. I'll play it by ear.

Hope to have fun, see ya tomorrow.
Gary

I use their cars. Go to the Thompson site www.thompsonspeedway.com and go to "racing schools". They list 2 of them. I went with the Racing School. We'll be there at 2:00 today, let's hope for sun.

On Thursday I was driving at Watkins Glen with Skip Barber. A tough track with lots of speed, 15 corners, and lots and lots of Armco right next to the track. Out of 19 guys I was 18th, oh well. I'm not really that slow, it's just that everyone else had already driven the track and I was just learning my way around. It's all about seat time.

I have wipers!! BUT NO TOP!!! Hmm! A Venom at a jeep dealer. Maybe some parts i can use if i take it for a ride. This weather sucks!!! Waxed the car with WET Paint yesterday, but that won't keep the rain off me. Look's like shower's all day.
