Loudon Cobra Gathering
I am going to go to London Ohio, June 21, 2008. Mapquest has it 820 miles from my place in NH. Which would make us leave early Thursday, stay somewhere at the end of the Pa Turnpike and travel 4 more hours on Friday to arrive for the BBQ friday night. The show is on Saturday and travel back Sunday and Monday. Vacation time has to be planned now and lodging secured soon. Who wants to go? The event brought people from all over and close to 300 cobras.

You might want to edit your title. It says Loudon. People might think your going to NHIS rather than London, OH next year. I might go next year. I went last year, had fun, except for the ride in the rain without my top.
Spent around $700.00 in Gas and tolls with my Ram 2500 and enclosed trailer.
Prices are down now but I wonder about next year? I drove down to Marlboro MA on Weds night, left there at 0400 Thursday, got to London at around 6pm-7pm that night. In time for the BBQ. I made hotel reservations in Feb. I just wanted make sure I got a room. When I got there they told me They had no room for me. Oh but we have a cancellation you can have. Yeah right. So reserve but keep checking the res every now and then.

I saw a blue cobra in moultonborough, on long island labor day weekend. Who was that? They went toward the old hotel. My camp is on that curve.

Louden Gathering
I will be going to a LOUDEN Cobra gathering even if it is only for one. Track day on Saturday, 9/21 at NHI with SCDA. I guess there is no interest in track days around here. Too bad, its a blast!

Yea...I'll check it out. I've got to check that date with my wife to see if she has me doing something other.....otherwise ...I've been meaning to get up there. Do you know anything about the "Professional Drivers Association" that is involve with race events in New England? When I google it, it points to some truck driver page....I don't think thats what I'm looking for.

PDAracing
PDA / NASA is a track day group out of NJ. They hold events in the northeast (mostly Pocono and WGI). I have run with them at WGI and it was a great time. I was hoping to do WGI again with them this year but the Oct weekend event is sold out.
I may go to WGI with SCDA at their Oct event.

Yep, finally got done w/ the break-in miles, time to actually drive it. Will be the track debut for the Lotus, can't wait! I also have a friend coming w/ me who is a first timer, she will drive the NSX.
I hope some Cobra guys will sign up, I've never seen a Cobra run w/ SCDA but it would be a hoot.

Cobras at SCDA
I run with SCDA as often as I can. I saw a couple of Cobras (including another ERA FIA) at their 9/4 event at LRP (track time pictures).
It seems that everyone has the Elise types (40 at the last LRP event I drove) but I can guarantee I had just as much fun.

SCDA Track Day
I'll be running their track event on Saturday. I hope there is no rain. I just don't have any interest in driving on a wet track.

ack fia, Pat
Good time last Saturday...Thanks for showing me around NHIS. Your SCDA event looks like a blast and i hope to set my fia up for some action up there. I have a ways to go in my build but i'll get there. Let me know if you go to the other tracks, Lime Rock and or Watkins Glenn.....I'd like to get the exposure...even without a car...it's best for me to watch for a year while i build....(although I'm tempted to sneek my wife's T-5 out there ....I've had to force that thought out of my mind). I'll get those pictures to you this week. tx mike

Track Day
Mike,
I was glad you came, it was the first time any one with an ERA car (or any other for that matter) appeared at these events. Bill P. is going to try to set up a track day for ERA cars in conjunction with one of his event. He is going to talk to Peter P.
The day went good:
- First session, cold tires - Spun it once.
- Second session, couldn't find the right gear, operator!
- Third session, great time, passed lots of cars
- Fourth session, pushed hard and cooked the brakes, came in early.
Over 100 laps, great time.
