Karting at OTK in Wallingford on Saturday, November 24th.
Hey Guys:
I'm trying to put together a group of 10 drivers for Saturday (noonish) the 24 of November at OnTrack Karting. If I get 10 drivers the rate is $15 per session, no membership no nothing. You must do a minimum of 2 sessions ($30). OnTrackKarting is a nice indoor facility with fast karts (gasoline) and a long track (1,700 feet). Karts do in excess of 30 MPH. It's located right off exit 66 on the Wilbur Cross.
If you're interested let me know ASAP. www.OnTrackKarting.com

I had a blast there last year. Too bad, I'm away for Turkey weekend...
Have fun!

Looks like a blast, but I have never done this before. How good do you have to be to not be embarrasssed.
Also, is it tough on the neck or lower back?

David:
I'm 60 years old and have never had a problem. If you can drive a car you can handle these guys. You get a steering wheel a gas pedal and a brake pedal. How hard could it be?
I'll be there Tuesday night around 7:00. Come on down and judge for yourself. Look for the helmet that says "OLDMAN". Plus I need you to make 10! Check your email.

It's actually tough on your shoulders and upper arms. I was sore for a few days. Bring warm clothes and gloves. it gets cold on the track this time of year.
Race against yourself and you won't be embarassed

Will you be there? Please don't tell me you're busy Saturday putting power steering into your Cobra.

OK kids, the track is booked for Saturday (11-24) at 11. All sessions are $15 no membership needed. Tony I need you to be there. All of the Long Island guys are welcome.
If you have a helmet bring it. If not OTK ( www.ontrackkarting.com ) will supply one.
See you there.

In the end we had 17 racers. A few skippy guys, a few of my Cobra buddies and a few others I convinced to show. Tony Aprile came all the way from Long Island to join us. As best I can tell everyone had a fine time.
Glad you all showed. Feedback please.

Bob...had an excellent time. The racing facility was nicer then I expected, even the drive down the Merit parkway was fun, too bad it was a little too cold for the cobra. You regular guy's are FAST...no doubt. It will take a little practice to keep the gas pedal down the entire track and just tap the brake to slow down for the corners !!! Thanks again for you and Noreen organizing the day.
