2008 Third annual Cobra Cookout! 8-02-08 in Southern NH.
New England Car buffs:
I would like to announce our third annual Cobra / Ford / Muscle Car cookout August 2nd, 2008 at 11am. Rain date 3rd! All types of cars are welcome to join in the fun. This is an opportunity to show off your car while looking at other awesome creations. This year we expect the NE Vipers and NE Lotus clubs to join in on the action.
Last year this event was held at my house in Candia NH with a great turn out even some of the NE Viper Club stopped in. (Candia is right outside Manchester NH) As this year's RSVP count grows we may move the location to the local park which does have a pavilion, restrooms, and place for children.
I will provide burgers, hot dogs, salads, some sweets, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you have a favorite dish you would like others to taste you are welcome to bring it along to. That is totally up to you……
Please RSVP by July 15th
We hope to see you all there!

Jeff- The Viper Club has this as an official event on their calendar this year. Jerry should be sending out an announcement the first of this week to get a confirmed headcount. Sunday is our annual Lobsterfest/Clambake so I'll remind Jerry to make a public announcement.
I sent the info out to the President of the New England Lotus Club. Plus the e-mail chain of Lotus Owners not affiliated with the Lotus Club.
I sent a shout out to the DeTomaso Pantera Club President so you may see a few at this year.
I just purchased a 1971 TVR Vixen and it seems to fit the bill so I'll be driving it. I also passed the invite along to the TVR Owners in the New England Area.
Looking forward to it- Thanks
Jeff Torrey

Not sure what is going on yet. I had planned on going, however my buddy has a house on Locke Lake in Barnstead and lost every tree in the yard due to Thursdays tornado. I can't believe what a mess. I went up Sat AM, and again last night to help clean up, I brought home over a cord of wood both times, but a lot more work needs to be done. I might be going up his house to help again Sat AM instead of cookout.
If you need to contact me, call the shop at 942-5288 or my Verizon cp at 608-5231.
Tom
PS If I don't show up, have an extra burger and say hi for me

Saturday weather?
Guys,
This year the weather has been hard to predict ahead of time. For example the other day the forecast for Saturday had us at 50% chance of rain, yesterday it went down to 25%, early this am 10% and sunny for both Sat and Sun. Now mid-day today they are saying 35% chance of rain. Crazy?
I guess Friday will be the best judge of weather for the event so stay tuned......

Ok, it is clear the weather forecasters are not looking out the window. According to them it is raining now with clearing tonight. Well it is sunny now and clear?
Party is on assuming at 11am Saturday there is no rain. Forecast have early clear with late afternoon scattered boomers, should work for the gathering......Hope to see you there!

Jeff and Danielle,
Thanks for a great time! It was fun seeing the eclectic collection of cars, old and new. The weather certainly gave us an unexpected boost and I thought I was home free....just a light sprinkle until I was about 10 miles from home and then the skies opened up and 128 was an instant moat! All I can say is thank the automotive gods for disc brakes and, seeing as though I was driving an English car, electronic iginiton conversions .
All and all a great day... put about 200 miles on the Elan without a hitch! Now as far as the hydroplaning....that was an entirely different story! See everyone soon.
Ron
PS BTW How about posting pics on FFCobra?
