Exciting Milestones

Hi Everyone,

Well, after what seems like forever, two exciting milestones were reached today. This morning an officer with NH DMV stopped by to inspect the cobra. When he was done, he issued me my VIN # making my kit a real car!

You probably can guess the next milestone. After receiving the VIN #, I stopped by the town office and registered the car. Donna and I have been playing with vanity plates for almost as long as we have been trying to determine the color. When I left the town office, I had our first choice (or at least first choice of what was still available) which was 66AC427. Not quite as good as 66cobra but still pretty descriptive and I probably won't have to worry too much about SAI suing my pants off.

I still don't have it fully ready for the road yet but I'll certainly be putting the plate on and just sitting with a big grin for a while.

Will we be able to see it at Jeff's Cookout, August 2, 2008?

There is a remote possibility but doubtful. Nick is building me a new gas tank but it is not quite ready yet. I could use the original one but plan on selling it so I don't want to have to sell and ship a tank that has been used.

While I may not have it running in time for Jeff's cookout, I hope to bring it to the September breakfast.
