Question Connecticut Foliage Ride - Saturday 10-12-08

Ok Kids:
The summer is rapidly going away and Saturday is looking to be a clear, dry day. Is there any interest at all in doing a ride to Lime Rock for lunch? How about Oliver's in Essex? They have outdoor seating and lots of parking. How about the Aspen Gardens in Litchfield? Anywhere?

I know I'll be doing it alone but I thought I would give it a try. You Connecticut guys would hate the group on Long Island. They actually drive their cars. Did I mention they also go fast?

Bob

I have been driving the crap out of mine!
Again, sounds like a great plan, but have unfortunately already made plans for the car all weekend

I don't know Bob. We drove down today to meet the LI guys and you were out driving around where? Next Sunday is the plan for another group run up and around Lime Rock, bring your ear muffs.

Today I was at Stafford Springs Speedway, a terrific day of racing www.staffordspeedway.com . Next Sunday I will be at Thompson Speedway www.thompsonspeedway.com for the Whelen cars, the Supermodifieds and the NEMA guys.

Is anyone at all interested in a Saturday run next weekend? I did a hundred miles yesterday - from Milford to Madison to Essex to points north, home via the Merritt. Ran into an all red FFR but could not even get a wave. Bite me!

Remember, LRP is closed on Sundays.

Bob

That ride is a few hours out for me. If anyone wants to take a ride on the eastern side of the state let me know. I guess anywhere from Mt. Wachussett in Mass. down to Newport or Mystic depending on weather.

Just a thought.

The route goes right through there, if anyone wants to make that a checkpoint we can. Would likely extend the trip time an extra hour or so... but a nice opportunity.

I'm game!
I live in Southbury, it is on the way to the wings and wheels show from the wallingford area, beautiful; backroads all the way there!
